A bit of puffing up is normal right?

Just got out of the bath and my feet have definitely swollen and I do notice them getting a bit puffy towards the end of the day.

I can still (just about) get my wedding ring on and off but it is tighter, no doubt about it.

I was at the doctor today and my BP was fine. So when does normal puffiness become something you should worry about?

Well I'm very puffy right now at 39wks (wedding ring had to come off about 3 months ago), but according to my MW it is nothing to worry about as long as BP, urine etc. are all normal (which they are). It's just really blimmin' uncomfortable. How far along are you? Have you talked to your MW about it? The advice is to keep your feet elevated when you can, I think.

I don't have any experience of when puffiness does become something to worry about though, maybe someone else can help with that... but if your BP is normal then hopefully you are fine :)

Face puffing up is bad!

My feet have been puffing up since about 26 weeks pregnancy (now 38), although I have a bit of pitting oedema now, which can be a sign of pre-eclampsia although I've got none of the other symptoms.

puffing is definitely normal and in the vast majority of cases nothing to do with pre-eclampsia and nothing to worry about. I started inflating at about 4 months and it has got steadily worse (now 38 weeks and look like michelin man).

I started swelling up at around 4 months with dd1. It got alot worse throughout my pregnancy, but thankfully it wasnt related to pre-eclampsia at all. If you have protein in your water, high blood pressure along with swelling then these can be signs of pr-eclampsia. But would say swelling on its own is fine. If in doubt though speak to your mw, even if its for reassurance
