Hi

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and my much looked forward to wedding will be in December this year when I'll be 21 weeks. I've been told my dress may still fit but I'm not hopeful. Main difficulty at the moment is that I feel so rough I'm not motivated to do any finishing jobs, like invites for example!

Anyone else got an early wedding present?

We went to Whitby for a couple of nights, to be honest that was about all I could manage physically. It was lovely though and we ate loads of nice food :). We will have a more adventurous honeymoon in May with the nipper.

Hopefully your sickness will have passed at 21 weeks and you will be having an energy spurt. If not the adrenaline should keep you going anyway!

I love Whitby Smile

Think we'll have a couple of nights away between the wedding and Christmas but will leave booking until nearer the time I think, in case I'm still feeling bad or it's snowy like last year!

I was 23 weeks pregnant when we got married in 2006 - wasn't expected, I had come off the pill to start ttc after the wedding.

I had the same dress just fortunate I found out prior to the dressmaker manking any adjustments - she was brilliant and left it right til the last week to make an necessary changes. I had a gorgeous corsetting wedding dress and felt great.

Hopoefully you will feel more motivated in a couple of weeks and have the get up and go you need. It will all come together, don't panic

Oh, so you fit the same dress Foghorn? Glad you felt great Smile

I got caught in a similar way to you, i.e pregnant a little earlier than planned!

Yes Tinwe, it was the same dress. I'd been the week before I found out for a fitting and she was going to make loads of alterations but I phoned her as soon as I found out and foortunately she'd just pinned everything and not actually altered anthing. She did the little alterations that were needed the week before, like to length etc.

He he - seems more common than just me getting caught out ! It took 11 months to concieve DD1 prior to that so thought it was best.

Ah, will try to get them to leave the alterations 'til the last minute then. DP can't see any difference in my figure, but having tried so hard too lose weight prior to the wedding I'm very familiar with my shape and it's definitely changing already! Little did I imagine that by making myself slimmer and fitter for the big day I was actually making myself more fertile and therefore being counter productive!
