Can breech baby cause nausea and what are the chances of the baby turning

I'm 31 weeks. I had a scan on Monday after I couldn't feel the baby and was told that it's breech. I have been told that they can turn up to 36 weeks. But do they? I mean usually or it just that they 'can'?

Also I've been feeling nauseous on and off since last week. Now this could be because I have gestational diabetes with ketones appearing now and then, exhaustion or addison's disease, but I'm just wondering if it could be the postion of the baby??

Hi Again

I'm 32+4 and went to see my midwife yesterday for a routine appt and she also told me my baby was also breech and sl bigger than normal so she's sending me for a scan. But she did tell me that approx a quarter of all first time babies can still be breech at 32 weeks and that most of them turn themselves round by week 36, and if not there are things to try than can help turn it round.
Sorry can't help about the sickness thing tho you're probably best ringing ya midwife for advice. I haven't felt sick but I dont eat as much as I feel full quickly from him getting bigger and pressure on the stomach.

39+4 here - mine was breech at 31 weeks. Had turned by 34 weeks tops. So don't worry.

Also - when my mum was carrying me I was breech all the way through and then turned at 38/39 weeks - so there's always hope!

DD2 turned at 36 weeks, didn't realise until 32 weeks that she was breech, funny enough with her I had less nausea that my other pregnancies but was tireder, more achey etc. She turned herself one night, just before I was due at hosp to have c-section discussion!!!

My first was breech throughout. No nausea but horrible grinding of skull on ribs at term! My second was breech until 34 weeks. It turned in the 48 hours following a visit to an osteopath - coincidence or not, no idea! Breech babies at term are quite unusual - most of them do turn at some point. :)

Mine turned at 37 weeks, the day before my mw appt to book in cs! The week before she had said he probably wouldn't turn but she would give him a chance. I remember him turning very clearly - I was sitting at the computer and felt like I was being beaten up from the inside! It took him another 4 1/2 weeks to arrive after all that though.

Mine was breech till 36 weeks, no experience of nausea. I had mine turned, I would recommend this if yours doesn't go of it's own accord and if your hospital offers. Not the most pleasant thing in the world, but worked finecand meant I could have a vaginal delivery.

My first was breech until 36 weeks and his head gave me horrible acid reflux. I also felt pretty nauseous at about 30ish weeks with both DC; the midwife said it was reasonably common and due to those pesky hormones.

Mine turned in the last week or so (at 33ish weeks). I was told the vast majority of breeches turn before about 37 weeks, so not to worry until then. Even so, I have spent the last month sitting upright etc to help her along. And going to carry on sitting here to prevent her turning back. I'm also told that going swimming, especially doing somersaults in the pool helps. Have't gone that far myself!!

And now you mention it, my indigestion has got lots better in the last few days, so perhaps that is something to do with it?
