I'm 35 weeks today.

Been having lower back ache, and pelvis discomfort. and when im turning over in bed its a if my pelvis jolts. i have been very good at "sleeping on the left" with the help of my DreamGenii, but sometimes i do need atleast5 mins on my right or back otherwise the pressure on my hips from being on my left all night is immense.

Any tips?

I sleep on both sides, have had similar symptoms since 35 weeks (or maybe before). You've got to sleep after all :)

I would not bother trying to stay in one position all night. I find I have to change position every hour or two, my hips get so sore (and by about 5 or 6am I have to just get up and walk around). Sleeping on the right for part of the night won't do any harm and changing position is better than suffering IMO. (I did read somewhere that it's a good idea to change position regularly, but can't for the life of me remember where - sorry!). You can also use a big pile of pillows to prop yourself up in a semi-reclining position if that's comfortable / helps to align your pelvis better. I tend to wake up finding I've sort of sunk back down the bed onto my back, but my midwife has told me not to worry about sleeping on my back, as long as I don't feel peculiar.

yep like a chicken on a spit...dont worry its normal

Makes more sense though to change positions otherwise you just ache!

I'm loving my lazy lie-ins at the mo and the afternoon naps too. but even though we need to sleep I can't help but feel like im being lazy and not being active...

lazy mind, lazy me?

also does taking naps/sleeping in the day train the baby to do so ( hense maybe having an active baby at night?) silly Q i know

I don't believe so Dozey shame, if that were so my DC will be very chilled out, so here's hoping :) Don't beat yourself up about needing the rest, you're only listening to your body after all, there's plenty of time to be busy after the birth, noooooooo!
