Go on, share your stories and make me feel better.

when my crocs were the only shoes that fitted me, and left little marks all over my swollen feet.

when the size 20 trousers i had bought in the sale (just in case, it is twins you know, etc) actually fitted me.

oh and when my belly button (having gone from inny to outty) went completly and utterly flat. like a tight drum. that was just too weird...

jwiggles · 16/09/2010 14:57

When everyday I walk into work and they say ''ooo looking bigger today'' and yes it will keep getting bigger for the next 8 weeks, so thanks for reminding me!!

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 16/09/2010 15:25

When the only way I can keep up with my mn antenatal thread is to write notes as I read through. My memory is shot to pieces. Then the shame when dh finds the notes Blush

When I discovered the mushrooms I bought but couldn't find, in the freezer.

When my ds was driving cars up and down me as I lay on the sofa, too hot, exhausted and trying to turn a breech baby, and all I could do was turn cbeebies on and sing sleeping bunnies for him. Not my proudest parenting moment!

nymphadora · 16/09/2010 15:59

Oh dh couldn't find tea bags the other day after I'd put them away in the fridge. Milk was in the dishwasher ...

flower1988 · 16/09/2010 16:04

When I have had a week of strong braxton hicks everyday.

And eaten more curry and bloody pineapple and raspberry tea than any human could.

And had uncomfortable sex.

And nothing's working :(

(Due tomorrow!!!)

mum2oneloudbaby · 16/09/2010 16:17

sedgiebaby i have one of those grabby things too. it was lent to me by dh 83 year old grandma as she had 2 Blush

juliec26 · 16/09/2010 16:24

not been able to walk to work without getting a stich and feeling like I am out of breath, hot and ready for another nap!.. my dd getting in to bed with me at 1am to then be kicked by her and baby all night because I can't be bothered to take her back .. everyday coming into work to be told I walk like a duck, although made me laugh and for people to comment on every outfit I wear saying oh your bump looks big in that and last but not least every single person thinking they know the sex!! sod off it 50/50!!!! :)

sarahscot · 16/09/2010 20:08

Julie, snap - my 3 yr old ds keeps getting into our bed and I can't be bothered to take him back. (His daddy sleeps like a log, doesn't realise he's there). I have visions of having to get a bigger bed so we can all fit together once baby is born - ds is getting far too used to being in my bed and has a fit when I try to move him now.

CardyMow · 16/09/2010 21:23

I knew I've had enough of being pregnant today, when the bra fitter in MOTHERCARE said "oh you must be so glad that baby is almost here, have you got one or two weeks left?" and I turned round and replied, no, I've still got 17 WEEKS left, I'm just huge and am carrying what feels like a baby elephant!

I am bigger now at 22+4 than I was at full term with any of my others...even DS2 who was 8lb2oz. I'm starting to shit bricks rather worry about just how large this baby will be. Even at 16 weeks, the MW when feeling baby said all surprised "Oh baby feels very large for your dates, are you sure?" On my 20 week scan, baby was measuring over the top line of the graph thingy. I struggled to get DS2 out 7 years ago, and was told I'd never manage to get anything bigger out of that exit route.

My belly is at full stretch already, my bellybutton has popped, and my bump is starting to 'pull' every time I move my arms. And I still have 17 weeks and 3 days for baby to grow. Is he going to be a ruddy 12 pounder or something??!!

plasticspoon · 16/09/2010 21:28

Ah, these are making me feel much better. Very impressed with all you ladies still putting socks on every day! Like greygirl I am confined to crocs. Or birkies.

This thread is making me want to be pregnant again! Blush.

kellestar · 16/09/2010 21:33

crying on the landing in the middle of the night, too scared to tackle the stairs with SPD, but the loo is down stairs and I was almost busting.

hobbling back from the community hospital on the end of our road, and being offered a lift by my next door neighbour in their car to go less than 100m, I weighed pain and discomfort of getting in over the 20 minutes it would take me to hobble home and said thanks but no thanks

Bought five tickets in the raffle at work, everyone a winner to something I can't have/do. Free tickets to local cider festival, wing walking discount voucher, 6 bottles of red, 6 more of white and a days' sea fishing. At least the wine can go in the cupboard for after delivery. :o

DomesticG0ddess · 16/09/2010 22:15

mum2oneloudbaby, DH's 85 year old granny offered me one of those grabbers too! This was a few weeks ago and I refused, though I might be regretting that decision in a couple of weeks. 35 weeks tomorrow.

Am SO sick of having to agree with contradictory comments from friends/random people: "no, 5 weeks isn't long is it" to "yes, still a while to go I guess". "No, I guess my bump isn't that enormous" and "yes, I do feel rather big". Argh! Can't be bothered to disagree with people, but honestly, why has everyone got a different opinion on the matter.

I think the worst thing now though are the random questions from complete strangers - really can't be arsed.

pregoDragn · 16/09/2010 23:55

When uve been sick EVERYDAY for 7 months and no one around u realises how depressed that can make u... :(

and then people say to you "ull forget about it all and end up having another baby"

shieldbug · 17/09/2010 10:13

This morning walking to the train I realised I'd been pg too long when my bum wobbled in one direction, my bump in the opposite direction and my boobs bounced along as well making me breathless. No wonder I get so tired, everything's moving!

Jacksmybaby · 17/09/2010 11:06

when I realised today that I have been pregnant ALL YEAR!! (well almost - LMP 7th Jan.) That's just TOO LONG.

xMrsSx · 17/09/2010 11:57

When this thought crosses my mind daily... "can I really be bothered with the mammoth effort it takes to lever myself out of the sofa, onto all fours, on my feet, up the stairs to the bathroom for what I KNOW will be about 5ml of wee?? Or will anyone notice if I just do it in my pants??" Blush

CardiCorgi · 17/09/2010 12:28

When going to work in my pyjamas started to seem like a good idea.

comtessa · 17/09/2010 15:18

Jacksmybaby, I sympathise. I have been pregnant since before my birthday (March) so no celebratory birthday drink, no wedding anniversary drink (July), no DH birthday drink (August) and likely no Christmas drink as will hopefully be BF'ing. Sigh. And I wonder why DH says I sound like an alcoholic... Confused Grin

nagoo · 17/09/2010 15:48

remember that from last time MrsS... this time I might be in for a tena lady when the time comes... Blush

nattiecake · 17/09/2010 15:51

Jacksmybaby, my LMP was on boxing day, so I HAVE been pregnant all year! Trying to encourage baba to come out now, hes cooked enough...

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 17/09/2010 16:55

On my feet seems a step that you could actually cut out to save energy.

pixiestix · 17/09/2010 21:47

Bursting into tears because a fire engine went past with its sirens on Confused
Having to get DH to open my shampoo for me because my fingers were hurting so bad
Having to get on all fours with my bum in the air during dinner with my parents because the baby was pressing on my spine.

And these were all just yesterday. Wonder what joys tomorrow will bring!

plasticspoon · 17/09/2010 23:44

We're moving house and while I can fill the boxes (bit by bit), once they're full I can't even nudge them with my toe without my tummy hurting Blush

PregoDragn...I sympathise, I've got hyperemesis too. And have had with my other 3 dc too....You don't forget how eeeeevil it is being sick for the entire 9 months, that's true...but you do, in the end, want more dc....and you usually get better meds the following pregnancies! Are you on any meds for the sickness? I'm on metaclopramide 3x a day, and still puking 3-4 times a day, but that's better than the 30-odd times it would be without any meds. And for some reason, I'm coping with it better this time, even though the sickness is worse. Confused. I had it from weeks 16-28 with DD (now 12yo), all the way through with DS1 (now 8yo) (to the point where I was in hospital, on a drip for dehydration, for 19 weeks out of 40), all the way through with DS2 (now almost 7yo), and have had it from week 6 this time, and am currently 22+5.
