I am 33 weeks and exhausted.

When I stand up if I've been sitting or laying I feel dizzy and faint.

Is this just a normal part of pregnancy, I was thinking of phoning midwife of it doesn't stop but don't want to cause a fuss

Could be anaemia. Or blood pressure which could be an indication of something else. I would phone your midwife.

Check it out but I had this a lot in my first trimester. Found I needed to eat little and often as it usually happened when I let myself get a bit too hungry.

Totally normal part of pregnancy as you put pressure on one of your abdominal veins sitting or laying down then when you stand you get the dizzy blood rush. Its why they recommend laying on your left to take the pressure off. Your mw will be able to help with coping strategies, but don't stand up too fast! If your're laying down, don't go to standing in one swoop, try sitting up for a bit, equalizing, then standing.

I've had this a lot. They might check bloods for anaemia and it can also be a result of low blood pressure (which isn't dangerous I don't think). When it happens lie down asap with your feet higher than you heart - well that's what I do!

I've had a few dizzy spells, and strangely a few when sitting down- it's a sign of low blood pressure which in itself is good if you don't get lots of dizzy spells! Or as some say, could be anaemia. Best to get it checked out- don't worry about speaking to the midwife- it's better to voice your concerns and they can decide whether they're trivial or not. Good luck!

I get this a little. I am assuming it is due to low BP (18 weeks).

Make sure you're not dehydrated too, remember your blood volume has had to increase. I find that if I drink 2 pints of water (difficult I know) when I feel like this, it cures the problem. Are you unusually breathless? I felt pretty rotten energy-wise at this stage.

I get this - before I was pg too, actually but worse now.

Low blood pressure. Midwife advised drinking enough water, not leaving big gapsbetween meals, and just taking it easy generally.
