Mouldy fruit...will it harm baby?

I think I've just eaten some raspberries which were mouldy. I'm a bit worried as I had some raspberry sauce which I'd made myself about 5 days ago. I'd kept it in the fridge and when I got it out today it had a thick skin on it, I smelt it and tasted it and it seemed fine, so I had some (about 2 tablespoons) when I was washing up I noticed the skin hadn't dissolved and was kind of white as I rinsed it. Now am panicking that I've eaten something that'll harm baby! I'm 25 weeks. Any ideas or has anything similar happened to anyone?

Really and truly I would not worry about this. Even if it was slightly past its best, then it was only fruit. :)

(obviously if it had been meat or fish then you would worry more).

Try and distract yourself by thinking about something else.

I ate a really mouldy peach at about 8 weeks (wasn't looking at what I was eating until it was too late) and was convinced something terrible would happen but all OK so far

Oh relax - if all it took to harm the baby were a bit of mouldy fruit I think the human race would have died out by now! Meat and fish are where you need to be careful, but I don't imagine a small bit of past-its-best fruit will do any harm. If it tasted OK it can't have been that off.
Actually was it even mould or just the sugar forming a white skin?

@MrsAbc99 I've just drank the juice of a slightly mouldy orange and can't find out if it will harm my fetus's (twins) particularly as I'm only 10 weeks pregnant. It smelt fine and I feel fine but don't know if it does something in your body...

Stomach acid will kill most bacteria and or fungus in such small amounts. Probably won’t even register beyond that!

I've nearly ate mouldy bread when I was 12 weeks pregnant, i was close to eating it when i noticed the blue stuff on it and just now I bit into a mouldy pear and only noticed the mould because it was slightly whiter than the pear inside not on the outside. Strange. This is why I don't buy fruit from lidl but my OH does lol.

But I'm not even worried because I didnt eat even half of that pear. The mould will be killed by my stomach acid no doubt.

i think the OP probably has an almost teen child now.
I replied to this thread in 2010! So I’m sure it’s resolved by now.
