My skin is terrible so dry no matter how much i moisturise.

Has anyone got any suggestions of creams, exfoliators, bath products that are good but dont cost a fortune?

thank you

Good old E45 works well on very dry skin and is pretty reasonably priced.

Have a look in your kitchen for natural products that work!

Oatmeal bath

Olive oil makes a great skin moisturiser.

Mashed avocado and cucumber make a brilliant facepack.

Seriously, you can buy all these fancy products that boast of having 'natural extracts of real oatmeal or cucumber or whatever' or you can just use the real deal for better results.

Body butter (I get Boots') applied every day has helped me.

More tips: dry shampoo - Batiste Original, (about two quid) will deal with greasy hair

Sallow complexion - cheap Rimmel rose pink cheap blusher, cheap Boots light bronzer with slight sparking effect, big fat makeup brush. Sweep the brush across both the bronzer and blusher, then brush across your forehead, apples of your cheeks, nose and chin and collar bones/thraot. The idea is not to cover yourself with war paint or noticeably change your complexion colour, but to subtly brighten and warm it. It is very strange but it almost instantly makes you look well.

Try taking some oil in your diet to help with dry skin: Boots sell fish oil capsules and Omega 3 capsules which don't repeat on you. Using raw olive oil and lemon juice on salads and veg, eating some raw nuts like walnuts and almonds as a snack, mashing avocado into your sandwiches if you can stand it (not sure if you are at the sicky stage).

HTH and you feel better soon!

Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream is amazing for dry skin on your face - I absolutely cannot live without it. It's about £30 for the bigger tube (100ml maybe) but you just use a little each day and it lasts for ages (so really it's more like £10 a month)
And it's a lovely base for applying make up - really helps foundation blend without flaking or coming up in dry patches later that day :)
