It was amazing, the sonographer was absolutely fantastic! Rather than doing all the measurements in silence and then talking, he took us through everything, what he was doing and why, pointed out what we were seeing on the screen and was just generally lovely.

It was the best scan I have ever had (not had that many though lol as I only have one other dc). We also found out we are expecting a little boy and I am over the moon as I have already been blessed with my 5 yo dd, so one of each is just so lucky.

Sorry to be gushy, but it was just such a brilliant experience that I wanted to share. :)

Congrats Rocklover it sounds like it was just perfect! How great that your sonographer talked you through the whole process as well.

I hope my 20 week scan is like yours, with a more talkative sonographer than I had at my 14 week scan Wink

great news rocklover - so pleased to hear it all went well. I've got mine in just under 4 weeks and am so excited (but nervous too). Can't wait to find out what I'm having too. Hope you're feeling better now (??). x

I am feeling better bit by bit, but I still feel nauseous for pockets during the day. Usually if I am tired, hungry, or I have eaten too much in one go. I am getting out much more than I was before, but I tire easily due to my low iron count.

Hoola I will keep my fingers crossed that your sonographer is as good as this one was, he even gave us 3 different pictures despite us only paying for 1!

rocklover I'm definately much better than a month or so ago, and have now got to the point that so long as I get enough sleep, eat all the time and barely do anything I'm almost OK, it's just as soon as I do anything I get tired so quickly and the nausea comes back and I start feeling really rough. Doc signed me off for 2 weeks as I can't manage trips out longer than a couple of hours, and even then I can need a day to recover. She also seemed to think I'd need longer before I'm up for work again Sad (think it's made difficult by the fact that I teach cooking so can't escape nausea triggers and am on my feet rushing around alot). But hoping that since I am better than previously, I'll keep going that way and be fit for work very soon :)
