Ok so is this normal I am 8 weeks pregnant and have spent the whole day crying (don't know why) and I have a funny feeling in my hands a bit tingly. This is dc4 so I should know but you forget!

Sorry no idea about the tingly hands, but think the crying is pretty normal considering the hormones rushing about.

I had pins and needles in my hands for the first few weeks. Haven't had the crying, but everyone else I know has!

I once got sent home from work because I just couldnt stop crying!!

mum2oneloudbaby · 03/09/2010 19:12

yes it's normal and don't forget it happens after the birth too for no reason whatsoever. scared dh silly to watch me sobbing uncontrollably while trying to tell him nothing was wrong honest!

My pregnant SIL was crying her eyes out at a party once. on being asked what was the matter she said that all the men had been to the pub and no-one had offered my brother a drink!

I once spent twenty minutes sobbing hysterically after I picked an open spaghetti packet up from the wrong end and all the spaghetti fell on the floor.

Also tingling hands, this is normal and to do with your nerves. I had it so badly eventually that I slept with my hand in a splint. It went away as soon as the baby was born.

Don't worry, we've all been there.

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say - having cried almost non-stop for about 36 hours over tiny things, this thread has cheered me up! Am 23 weeks with DC3 and I'm sure I didn't cry like this last time...I remember the crying aftrewards, but not while actually pregnant. Oh well - something else to blame the hormones on (along with the need to eat lots of chocolate!)

yellowflowers · 30/09/2010 19:02

I think the crying is normal. All those hormones plus big life changes and anxiety over whether everything will be okay.

I had tingly hands at beginning too and then went away about week 12 and has just come back now week 29.

oh how i wish i was crying with pregnancy hormones now, i miscarried at 10 1/2 week, so yes still crying!
