hi could do with some moral support or someone just to slap me round the face to stop me from worrying. i am pregnant for the 5th time i just found out yesterday i have a 4 year old girl from my first pregnancy but sadly i have had 3 miscarraiges after her i i have just found out i am pregnant again but i am absolutly terrified about whats going to happen dont think i can bear another miscarraige, had all the tests for recurrant miscarraiges and they were all fine but was told i was overweight and told to stop smoking which i have done both i have lost 4 stone and have stopped smoking so i am hoping that will make a difference, is there anyone who has gone through anything similar to give me any advice

hi bexi i don't have any advice as such, but i am also pg after recurrent miscarriage.

all i would say is to take each day as it comes. it is the only way to get through it.

will you be offered any extra scans/support during this pg?

Hey not been in your situation had trouble just ttc though so know how badly you want it. Lots of luck in this pregnancy though, and congrats on the weight loss and stopping smoking. They are bound to help!!!

im 24 weeks after 4 mc. (and 2 dc before that)

tbh i have not had any extra supportfrom mw. she did see me to book in earlier than normal to try and get me a reassurance scan but my local hospital has a crap policy of only scanning if you show signs of mc in this pg.

i had to pay for all my extra scans privately (defo worth it imo) but i had also had my miscarriage tests and treatment through a private clinic.

try speaking to your local epu direct. some have a self referal policy. depends where you are.

Ask your GP or EPU what the local policy is on early scans. If they're not available on the NHS, I recommend getting a private scan. After 2 MCs, I needed the reassurance of an 8 week scan - well worth the money.

Oh and I'm now 25 weeks - can't quite believe it! Grin
