I am 35 weeks and seriously fed up! I can't wait to get the baby out - have booked an appointment with a chinese doctor who apparently has a very high success rate for acupuncture "induction" for when I hit 37 weeks. My bump is MASSIVE and measuring three weeks ahead so they are threatening to induce me early. I am having a growth scan tomorrow to try and get a better idea of how big the baby really is. I am really keen to avoid that so will try any thing to get the baby out!!
Anyone else expecting in the next month or so and want to join in??

Oh no sorry....I'm 38 wks just stopped work and would like a bit of rest befor baby arrives thank you!

But I've been measuring small for much of my pregnancy, now mid scale, I'm pretty uncomfortable it has to be said and have SPD but it hasn't spoilt the experience. I may not get to have another baby so I want to make the most of the experience. I'm big on accupuncture though, sounds a better way of inducing labour if that is what is being suggested to you. My friend was measuring off the scale big and had a 6lb baby last week so maybe you don't have a whopper after all?

MammaDavies · 02/09/2010 22:36

Addie I know just how you feel :(

Im 34+3 and want this baby out, I've had many a sleepness night telling this baby that she's gotta come out at 37 weeks! I've also looking at the ways to induce yourself for when I hit 37 weeks.

My bump itself is measuring 4 weeks ahead (after a couple of weeks of measuring 6 weeks ahead, its starting to catch up with itself!)

Had a scan last week at 33+3, they measured baby at 35+5 head and leg, 37 abodom and est weight at that time as 6.5lbs! Shock

No one has mentioned to me yet about being induced, just keep asking me if I know that Im having a big baby! Angry

babybumpem · 03/09/2010 08:29

I'm 32+6 and well and truely fed up too!!

I've had really bad sickness, been in and out of hospital for iron infusions because im so aneamic..had problems with my back and now have spd Sad

On top of that have 2 very active ds's (2+4) who dont let me have much rest!!!

I'm going in at 39 weeks for a section but would do anything to go in and have her earlier Sad

ILoveDonaldDraper · 03/09/2010 09:33

Well I am very pleased to hear its not just me.
Sedgiebaby I hope you get your few weeks to relax - probably your baby will arrive two weeks early and mine will arrive two weeks late - that would be typical.
Mamadavies - 6 weeks ahead - wow! You are obviously doing an exceptionally good job of growing your baby!
babybumpem - I know how you feel - I had miserable MS for the first 20 weeks. Its enough to put me off having another DC after this one - I don't know how I would cope with being that sick and looking after a toddler. Even though 39 weeks is a way off at least you have a firm date in mind - that must make it easier to count down the days!
At the moment I feel like if the baby arrives at 38 weeks - then that's in less than three weeks, and would be totally fine, but if she hangs on till 42 weeks that's more than another month and I will have gone out of my mind by then!!!

addie81 · 03/09/2010 13:40

Great!! Its not just me. And its only going to get worse I fear.............
is anyone else NOT enjoying the "indian summer" as they are bloody roasting all the time??!!

MammaDavies · 09/09/2010 18:12

anyone else doing the baby come out dance, seriously I know that Im only 35 weeks but between how hot I am and that my bump actually knocks over small children this baby has got to be "cooked" by now!!!

Also SPD has given my pelvis to the ghost and i NEED to sleep on my tummy again (or anywhere actually, as long as its for more that 10mins then whole side going numb!) and I want to hold by babba.

And deep breath..............rant over :o

MadameG · 10/09/2010 09:29

I'm 38 weeks today and not very patiently waiting for ds's arrival. I saw the midwife yesterday who said he has moved down into the pelvis (3/5 engaged), my nausea and lower back ache are signs that things are progressing and that everything looks good. Of course, I wanted them to tell me that he's coming in the next five minutes but they let me down. Hmm

I am hanging on to the knowledge that at some point in the next few weeks I will not be walking round like a giant buffalo anymore, my pelvis will not be killing me, I will be able to sleep without my feet feeling like they're on fire and 400 pillows all around me, I can eat cold prawns and smoked salmon again, and after 9 extremely long months I can meet ds.

If things go to 42 weeks for me I will be screaming the place down!!

Cluds · 10/09/2010 09:46

It's a long old slog isn't it, this pregnancy thing?! Like you MadameG I am 38 weeks (+4). This is DC3 for me and i was really hoping this baby was going to come a bit early as DS1 was 3 weeks early, but DS2 was 1 week late........there seems to be no reason for it, these babies just come when they want to! This has definitely been the worst of all my 3 pregnancies and i feel i have had so many symptoms...however, I sailed through the previous 2 so mustn't complain. Food wise though i have eaten whatever i wanted, and actually have been craving yummy cold prawns and smoked salmon so have had that in a salad once a week. I don't eat meat and so fish features pretty highly in my diet. Sleeping comfortably is something i can't wait for and coughing/sneezing without peeing would good too!!
Good luck everyone!

MadameG · 10/09/2010 14:10

Oooh you ate prawns and salmon? Wish I had too now. My dh is under strict instructions to go straight to the supermarket when I'm discharged and get some!

Hope your baby (and mine!) arrives soon- having a rough pregnancy is hell on earth. I feel like I've been ill since December!

Cluds · 10/09/2010 14:49

Enjoy those prawns and salmon! Have just come back from playing tennis (well, it was a tennis lesson with 2 other girls, and i didn't exactly move around much, but it felt good to try and do something active and get lots of fresh air...........don't think it has made the baby feel like it wants to come out tho!

sophieandbelly · 10/09/2010 18:43

aaaagghhhh i will join the rant!! iam 36 wks having c-sect at 38 wks so at least i have the end in sight!! but this time its been hard going,
been throwing up bile most of morning, and also have spd- to name but a few have only just recoverd from a nasty virus. that mixed with my dd (nearly 3) altho shes very good i envy the 1st timers that get that bit of xtra time!! i still have few more days work left.

i swing between thinking i just want it over to thinking- 1)shit iam having major surgery, healing etc 2) shit iam going to have 2 children!!!

o 3) shit iam going to have alot of weight to shift!! haha

saoirse86 · 10/09/2010 23:38

I'm 38 weeks today and seriously hoping things are starting to get going. I've had some serious diarrhoea and a bit of sickness, some back pain, very emotional, generally feeling funny. 8 days ago she was 2/5 engaged but I really feel like she might be more now, I'm getting a lot more pressure and pain down there than I was last week. Fingers crossed I'll be meeting her very very soon.
Good luck ladies!

sophieandbelly · 11/09/2010 08:04

sounds astho she could be on her way saoirse86. is she ur first dc? they do say sickness and diarrhoea is common before things get going!

altho iam kind of hoping that statement is wrong as i was up for 3 hrs with sickness and diarrhoea last nite, want dc to hang in there till elcs date!!

MammaDavies · 11/09/2010 09:51

hope these these baba's make an appearance soon for you lot :)

Although if this bump of mine thinks she's stayin in there until 42 weeks I think Im going to take to sitting in the corner sulking until she makes an exit!!

Can I ask has anyone else had given birth dreams recently? I had lush one last night wear I didnt even feel contractions, my waters broke and two minutes later the baby was here with barely a sneeze! because that's the way its going to happen Hmm Grin

tanmu82 · 11/09/2010 10:40

hello ladies, I am 32+4wks and can't really complain too much as this pregnancy has been pretty much a breeze (bar some intense itchy, dry skin which seems to be under control now and bouts of reflux/heartburn). I must admit though that I am exhausted all the time as I have 2 DC's already (7 & almost 6) and have another 5 weeks to work....part of me is ready to meet my 2nd daughter already, but the other part wants to try and savour ( Hmm ) these last few wks as this is most probably the last time I'll do it.....

tanmu82 · 11/09/2010 10:46

oh, and my bump is described as 'neat', so I don't have too much issues moving about or getting comfortable at night.....but I do get creaky after sitting at my desk for a while.

my first was born 3 weeks early and the second just 4 days eraly. number 3 is under strict instruction to arrive a week early during the oct half term as the MIL will be visiting to take care of DS and DD so I can have a rest/go into labour with childcare sorted Grin

Bonners · 11/09/2010 11:33

39+4. Get. It. Out. (looking for the smiley that means fed up)

I have been pregnant for all of 2010 so far. That makes me want to cry for sheer frustration!

Having all of usual symptoms (pelvis pain, no sleep, peeing when I cough or sneeze, out of breath, uncomfortable, emotional, back pain) plus no motivation or energy to do anything anymore. Nesting shmesting, I can't be bothered. I just need my body back!!!!!!

MammaDavies · 12/09/2010 20:08

Nesting! HA! Does it count if your husband does it instead :o He's been ace!

Had a practice run last night (false alarm, this baby is well n truely not coming out) and before it even come on hubby turned to me and said "Are you feeling alright? I'm having really bad stomach pains?!?" Shock

You reckon I can transfer the labour pain onto him too?? Grin

Cluds · 13/09/2010 13:57

39 weeks today, both kids at school till 4, and i am bored, bored, bored, bored, bored...............have done the weekly shop, bounced on the ball, done 2 loads of washing, changed the sheets on all the beds.....guess i am going to have to take the dog for a walk now.........sigh...

megonthemoon · 13/09/2010 14:03

40+1 today with DC2. Not feeling too bad - felt worse with DS who was born at 40+4 - but have been on tenterhooks since 36 weeks when I had severe vomiting and diarrhea, baby sarted to engage, and I had a show, so midwife thought I'd be lucky to make it to 37 weeks! Absolutely nothing since...
Please just come baby. I'm bored waiting for you now, DH is bored waiting for you, and DS is totally convinced that mummy will just have a baby in her tummy forever!

auburnlizzy78 · 13/09/2010 14:10

Ohhhhhh, can I join please? 38 + 2.

My whinges: pregnancy induced arthritis in my fingers which wakes me up in the night.

People now pointing at me in the street on the rare occasion I venture out and I've heard them say to each other "Jeeeez, look at the size of her!" because my bump is so massive (largely water, so I am told).

Bump prevents me seeing properly to take things out of the oven. Last Sunday I failed to notice the top shelf had got stuck the other day on the roast pork on the shelf underneath, pulled the whole lot out by accident, top shelf fell on my arm, now nursing a nasty and obvious burn which will show up in the first baby photos in hospital

Un-Gavisconable-heartburn (it just doesn't work anymore)

Exhausted even walking from room to room. Feel a bit nesty but too tired to contemplate it.

Cakemuncher · 13/09/2010 14:30

Oh good, a moaning thread.

34+4 and feeling SO rubbish. I feel just as sick as I did in the first trimester and my SPD has absolutely knackered my pelvis - I could barely move last night. My bladder feels like baby has it in a vulcan grip which feels worse when I lie down so catching up on sleep with those wee afternoon naps that we are told we can indulge in is out of the question.

What isn't helping is that my DH and I are moving house this day next week - it was supposed to happen 4 weeks ago! Slightly concerned (for that read paniked) that a lot of my symptoms might be pre-labour ones and, despite my discomfort, I don't want the baby to come too early. So I can add insane levels of stress to the whole mix.

Also feel irrationally irritated by DH's continued Monday nights out, despite the fact that he has generally been pretty brilliant.

Rant, rant, moan, moan...
Excuse me, need to go pee etc...AGAIN!!!

smokeybacon · 13/09/2010 14:39

I'm only 29+3 but with twins so am the size of a 40 week pg - can I join the moaning please??

I am just so grumpy ALL the time. I can't help it and I have at least 8 weeks to go. I feel so sorry for my poor DH having to put up with me.

I can't get comfy anywhere. I am hot. I am huge. I have back ache. I am breathless. I can't sleep. My other two DCs seem to find it impossible to sleep through the night. I am soooooo tired. I can't walk very far. I can't bend down. Acid hearburn. I am off food completely except am craving McDOnalds Strawberry milkshakes. AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH.

WorrisomeHeart · 13/09/2010 15:03

Oh can I join too please? 35+6 and today is my first day of maternity leave so I should be ecstatic right? Wrong for the following reasons..

  1. Have developed horrible intensely itchy rash on feet and legs. Had convinced myself it was just heat rash but am now panic-Googling after the doc referred me for bloods to check liver function.
  1. Back is killing me and I can't get to birth ball in spare room without DH's help (he's at work) because of the next issue...
  1. Bathroom remodelling works have gone over by 3 days ergo house is STILL full of tile dust, builders, builders crap, dust sheets, general mayhem. I know I should be glad that the work is being done so well, but FGS this is why I wanted them to start earlier and not run into my maternity leave!!!!!! This also means I can't start the habit I wanted to carefully practise of napping in the afternoon. Although, bless DH's cotton socks, he's going to work from home tomorrow and Wed so that I don't have to deal with them. (And now I feel guilty because they are lovely and very much trying not to disturb us, but I want my house back please!)
  1. All baby stuff is still in boxes (because of the builders) and I am (irrationally) panicking that I won't have time to set up the nursery/clean the house/do lots of folding of tiny socks etc - and thats just not fair!!!! [WH stamps foot then goes searching for more chocolate]

Wow, that was cathartic... [waves to addie]

smokeybacon · 13/09/2010 19:49

Yikes worrisome. You win!!! Builders in and nasty rash.

Would you like some chocolate refridgerator cake? I've just made some to take into work for my last day on Wednesday.

I think this thread deserves it more.
