I suppose a half and half, vent and wwyd question.

Yesterday night on the way home from a family day out, and tbh I don't know how or why we missed a huge car crash but we did.

Going along the motorway and it was heavy traffic pretty much every lane was 70 mph same speed ifyswim?

Anyhow there was this one utter knob that was being really lane unaware, infact I think DH called him a knob under his breath literally just before what happenened.

Anyway he was on the inside we were on the middle, just as we were about to pass him as in bumper to bumper, he start indicating and moving out, wtf!!!

Me and the kids were screaming I really thought that's it we are crashing, god knows how, a bit of swerving and an emergency stop at 70 mph I think meant we missed, the car behing luckily had also kept a decent stopping distance. the car that had lane changed was absolutely blood oblivious to what they'd nearly done.

Anyway I vomited, shock I think then realise my seatbelt had really caused some pain across my bump, I left it last night and went to bed but have woke up this morning still in a lot of pain around my scar, lower back, would it be a total over reaction to ask to be checked?

No, not an over reaction if you're "in a lot of pain", surely?

onadietcokebreak · 28/08/2010 09:03

I would just ring and go in for a check especially if in pain.

Agreed, phone labour ward or day assessment unit and discuss with a mw, I'm sure they'll invite you to go in.

Yeah I will do I think, I am really uncomfortable and didn't want to waste their time when it could be stretching or something, thanks.

Yes, phone them. Even if they think there's unlikely to be anything wrong, they will probably invite you in for monitoring for your peace of mind.

Must have been terrifying, poor you.

Definitely call the midwife this morning.
