I have possibly the most actice fetus ever. Hes all over the place all day, night, all the time.

Recently hes started doing a turn that sort of hurts and then suddenly I have either a head or a bum literally bursting out of my stomach. It looks like I have a hernia and I find it really weird and only goes down when I stroke it. Its not his feet or arms, its definately the top or bottom end of him! Im currently 26 weeks.

As he gets bigger and has less room to move, will this go down? Or his he likely to freak me out till the end?! Confused

Well, I'm 37+3 and although bubba has less room he/she is still trying to punch through my bladder while kicking my ribs! It starts to get less like a kick and more like an alien rolling around inside your womb.

I am still being freaked out regularly I'm afraid to say! I just keep thinking that this means I'm having a healthy baby, I just wish it would realise when mum is trying to sleep....

OMG - I'm sorry to say that reading your post initially made me laugh so hard I cried - but only because i have been experiencing some very similar events!!!

My partner things I'm wierd because I keep refering to it as the 'Alien'. However this is purely for the reason that I often get some big movements like this (despite being a bit of a big girl so plenty of extra quilt wrapping baby!) that literally feels and looks like that scene from the Aliens movie where the alien explodes out of the guys chest while they are having dinner!!!!

The midwife and sonographer have both said that bubba is quite active - but the midwife assured me that this is normal, and that as baby gets bigger, she will have much less room and so won't be able to move around quite so much (although apparently the kicks will continue - oh joy!)

This is the wriggliest stage IIRC. Baby is big enough that you feel everything, but not so big that they have had to reduce movements yet.

It does get better :)

i'm 40 weeks tomorrow and mine is still doing alien moves, they're just bigger movements than they were a few weeks ago!

I'm almost 36 weeks and I have a very..very active baby, big baby (he's apparently 7lb already) and the movements have started to become quite uncomfortable especially down below lol I think his head must be pressing on something!!

He just doesn't give me a break, he's wriggling as I fall asleep and he's still wriggling when I wake up, he wriggles all day while I'm at work and when I'm driving home!

I don't think he plans on giving me a rest :P
