Hi Ladies,
I've been looking at forums getting a feel for one I wanted to join and this is it, so here I am.
Anyone else due Feb? I'm looking for pregnancy buddies as this is my first pregnancy and although excited also very nervous and at times scared too.

Really didn't enjoy my first trimester as I was sick and exhausted so much, but now that I've a turned a corner and entered the 2nd trimester I'm back to feeling more like myself with energy levels and no sickness hooray!

How is eveyone else feeling?

Lou

Hi Can I join in?

Am expecting second child 26th Feb. Am rather nervous even though i've done this before but that was 7 yrs ago now. ( Took longer than i anticipated to get pg again).

Have been rather tiredand very nauseous from 2pm onwards which is not good when you're trying tocook the family tea. Keep thinking aat 14 weeks tomorrow the nausea should disappear soon.

HHave just returned froma very very wet camping holiday in Wales and thought i would be sleeping soundly in my bed. but am really suffering with not sleeping well as i haven't told work yet (workin a school and nnot back for another week).

Hope you are all keeping well and look forward to keeping in touch with you all.

Hmm, any reason why posts aren't appearing?

I started a newjob this week and spent a lot of time sat at my desk which by Thursday resulting in swollen lower legs.

I've had my feet up most of the day today and they've gone down.
My bumb is noticeable now unless I'm in a baggy top. People at my new job seem surprised when I tell them I'm pregnant so can't wait fo it to officially take on bump status.

How has everyone else been this week?

Hi all, can I join. I'm due 20th Feb, its baby no2. My ds is 3 in October so nice big age gap. Stopped feeling sick around two weeks ago but still feeling the need to eat constantly but must stop soon as have already put on 10lbs!! Have started to get swollen ankles and legs by the end of the day which has worried me slightly as had pre eclampsia last time but hearing the someone else has had swollen legs relieved me a bit!
Am incredibly breathless at times, I notice it most when I'm reading a book to my ds and have to keep stopping to catch my breath, he doesn't seem to notice tho bless him!

Hi Bensmum76 - we're due on the same day!
I too ate much more than I normally would once I stopped feeling sick which was bang on the 12 week time.

I'm trying to be a lot better with what I'm eating now as I'm only 5ft4 and the 4 kg's I've already put on are very noticeable.

I'm going to make an effort to get up more regularly during the day and see if that helps keeps the swollen ankles down.
My sister also suggested going to get my blood pressure checked just in case this was up as that can be responsible for swelling too.
The breathlessness I've noticed too, and am going to start doing some gentle walks everyday to try and keep a bit fit. I've never been an exercise junkie and luckily always stayed trim so this new found extra weight and breathless is taking some getting used to.

Hi All,
I got a footrest for under my desk today and it is one that rocks back in forth. it certainly did the trick today with no swelling in my ankles although I was also up a bit more than previous days.
How is everyone feeling?

Sick still. At 14 weeks i thought it would have passed and have odd days when it doesn't seem to be quite so bad. Am having to do lots of deep breathing now to try to stop feeling sick. Am also dreading cleaning teeth , cause just putting that brush too close to the back and start gagging. I can't really remember with ds when nausea stopped. Just hope it's soon!

Am going out for tea tomorrow night with dh. Just hope i can find something to take my fancy (to eat that is)!

Glad your swelling has gone down lgmum2b.

Sorry to hear you're still feeling sick flowerfairy.
Foxs Glacier Mints really helped settle my tummy along with sipping peppermint tea.
Also somtimes I used my finger on my back teeth as I too could quite esily start gagging with a toothbrush.

Hang in there, hopefully it will subside soon.

Hope you enjoy dinner out tomorrow.

lgmum2b · 05/09/2010 20:20

Me23 - why do we have to switch the larger group? Its so hard to keep up with so many different users.
