Twenty weeks pg and for the past three afternoons about this time have felt the most amazing fatigue, uselessness etc which is not good when sitting in office. Honest no energy at all. Any great suggestions for combating this (sadly going for afternoon nap not a possibility)

Eat!!! know it sounds obvious but just have a banana or something else which has slow-releasing energy. Also try and keep your fluid levels up.

Try eating more low-fat protein foods and less carbs.

I would recommend eating little and often - whenever you need it....

I had breakfast, then lunch, now just had a bowl of weetabix for afternoon snack...and i'll probably have something else before dinner when I get home from work too.
It used to combat the sickness and think it does the same with tiredness too...

My eyes are literally dropping at the moment, but when I eat, I perk up a bit!

(Its probably all in my head, but if it works, then who am I to stop!)
And god, i'd love an afternoon nap right now... Im 27+4 and feeling everyday at the moment, as bump seems to be on a growth spurt!

jwiggles that's how i feel - eyes could literally close at any moment

Yep maybe I need to cut out sandwiches at lunch - but had yoghurt and grapes so fair amount of non-carb stuff

I eat cerial and milk inbetween meals and find that an absolute necessity. If you choose the right cerial then it doesn't have to be a bad snack in terms of weight gain. Also make sure your not getting dehydrated as even the slightest sniff of dehydration can have a hige impact on your energy levels. Oh and dried fruit is a good continual sort of snack I'm eating that constantly as it helps with my nausea too.

I would try and have a walk as well if you can, when I can be bothered I do and it does help.

totally what they advise you not to do, but i find a fake sugar fix ie full fat sprite to be my saviour!
