I had some great suggestions when I posted for cheap maternity pyjamas so was wondering if anyone could help with this

On a small budget and need at least 2 sleep bras and 2 feeding bras I reckon.

Would appreciate suggestions Smile

I just got some Miriam Stoppard nursing bras in the Debenhams sale - 75% off.

Mothercare are doing a 'buy one get one half price' offer on their sets - £20-£24 for two of each kind of bras - plus loads of individual ones in the sale at the moment.

I stocked up on some GIANT boob holders this weekend!!

All the Debenham ones are sold out in my size Sad

Do mothercare do underwired ones? Thats ideally what I need

you aren't meant to wear an underwired bra when pregnant or breastfeeding, although I suspect that's one of those pieces of guidance that lots of people ignore without suffering any ill effects.

You can buy underwired feeding bras though?

I thought it was ok as long as they fitted properly

i got the 2 pack nursing bras from m&s and didn't bother with sleep bras. i hate wearing them at the best of times! Blush i just put a towel down to stop and leakages.

:)

I have to wear sleep bras as my nipples so get sore I cannot bear anything touching them, esp. just before I am due!

Carriwell bras are great and wash and dry overnight. I only have one and the other bras stay in the drawer. They are not as sweaty as I expected either.

Underwired bras are fine as long as they fit perfectly - many people change size so quickly that always wearing underwired bras is not practical. Some nursing bras also have special soft wires that are less likely to be an issue.

JoJo do a 2-pack of sleep bras for £15.

cinnamongreyhound · 16/08/2010 15:31

I had this one when feeding DS and it was great, hoping it will still fit me this time around. It's not cheap though and I just used the cheap nursing bras that come in a 2 pack from mothercare for the short time I wore a bra at night.

I posted a thread on here last week for the miriam stoppard bras from debenhams using a code made them £11.25 for 2 (if none in stock online ring them they will check stores for you).

Peacocks do some nursing/maternity bras for £4 - I dont like them as lacy- and lace makes me itch.

tesco used to do some nursing bras for £4 each also.

have you tried mothercare online

jojo maman bebe sleep bras are good (2 for £15) but i am 30 weeks and 40DD, size 14 and they're starting to look a bit on the small side, even though we bought the biggest size (L or XL can't remember now). tried on mothercare crossover style sleep bras but each side had 2 layers of stretchy material so on the crossover middle bit there were 4 layers- not good in this heat considering it's all lycra sstuff. will not be buying those sort.
am worried about how big the boobs will get (they were 36 B/C in Jan before i got pregnant)

Freeasabird58 · 17/08/2010 10:03

I got some fab ones the other day from H&M! 2pk 14.99 and sleep vests 2pk 19.99 blk & white x
