measuring big for dates

Hi,

I am 25w and just came back from midwife appt, where i was told that was measuring almost 2cm bigger than 'normal' at this stage. She said it's not a cause for concern and that is probably cause me and DP are fairly tall.
Despite the fact that she said they would only be worried if i was measuring 3-4weeks ahead, I can't stop worrying that am cooking a giant baby.
anyone got any experience of this? I'm not sure i could handle popping out a 10lber!

I'm measuring big for dates too, but I've been told not to worry - babies are almost always the right size for mum to deliver and a bit of extra baby chubbiness is squashy so doesn't make any difference. It's the size of the head that counts!

Also, lots of reassurance here

Hope that helps!

3 cm bigger at 34 weeks! mw couldn't give a stuff, said bigger babes do better anyway. Not keen on a 10lb-er either but they all come out one way or another and it's less baby weight to lose Wink

thanks guys - I was kind of hoping that as my bump is still small and have only put on 6lb (was overweight to start with) that a 7lber beckoned, but what will be, will be i guess. Grin

I was told that two of mine would be 10 lbs or more, one was only 8lb 5oz,so you cant always go on what they say..

must admit the most painful was the 8lb 5oz and the easiest was 9lb 2,he was only three pushes and out..
