rockbudgie-whats phytaoil??

My stretch marks are as good as they can be i think. Theyre not purple like at first theyre more skin colour now and translucent theres just loads of them. Dont think anything can improve them now.
God after reading some 2nd pregnancy body stories im dreading it more now! More so because one of my friends is preg too and petite size 6/8 Grrrrr!! Who will prob pop bk into shape while im dragging my saggy hang around behind me :-(

beckie90 · 30/07/2010 14:08

im a size 6/8 after my 1st baby, but not too convinced that after a 2nd i will be that size lol. aww clarebear im sure its not that bad

clarebear Phytaoil is a new product for scarred, stretchmarked and sun damaged skin. It's all natural (unlike Bio Oil) and contains rosehip extract and vitamin E which really do help repair the skin and reduce the appearance of scars etc. It also comes in a lotion and I couldn't recommend it more. Visit their website for free samples.

My tummy was bad after DD and scary after DS. I looked about 5 months pregnant. No stretch marks, thankfully.

Then I started running, dieted for 6 months, and lost 10 kgs. My tummy has gone back in and I have been wearing a bikini this year for the first time in years

olivo · 30/07/2010 20:34

Just be aware; it's not all caused by eating too much/badly and lack of exercise; I only put on just over a stone in my 2nd pg because of gestational diabetes but the baby and the fluid caused the problems.

At the end of the day though, I was just relieved to have a healthy, safely delivered baby, and though I hate what I look like, i have my reward

clarebear1 · 30/07/2010 22:35

rockbudgie-whats the website plz? cant find it. Sounds like its worth a try!

beckie90 · 30/07/2010 22:38

yep thats what keeps me going OLIVO, i put alot of weight on in my 1st preg it was weird though cause it didnt look like i did, i was still wearing size 8 clothes, and my belly was smaller than my bum haha.
ROCKBUDGIE that sounds fantastic, i did get a few stretch marks when i was preg not on my belly just on my bum, im not botherd though there faint now and who sees my butt lol. so next time i will be doing everything in my power to try not to get them on my belly. sometimes when i look at my friends cause obviously ive just turned 20 so there like 19 and 20 they have perfect little bodys and im like damn, but then i look at what i have (my 2 yr old) and think cant beat it

beckie90 · 31/07/2010 10:06

1st DC - pretty much got back (briefly)
2nd - not really the same, though not bad. didn't get time to work on it though before ...
3rd DC - i expect I'm screwed this time round. though the bump is a teensie bit smaller than last time.

TheNextMrsDepp · 01/08/2010 15:26

It is largely genetic, I'm afraid, you either get a saggy tummy/stretchmarks, or you don't, regardless of how many kids.

I'm lucky, I've had 3 (including 1 cs) and the tum just snapped back into place each time. I am a little bit "thicker" around the waist, but no saggy stuff thank goodness. So it doesn't always get worse with each pg.

teaandcakeplease · 01/08/2010 15:27

My second baby was 9lbs and 8oz and I am now a size 16. My tummy is pretty awful, a shed load of stretch marks, more so after DC2. It looks like chicken skin and I have an over hang from the C section scar, like a kangaroo pouch.

I sometimes think it could look a little better if I lost a bit of weight and did some sit ups, but I can never find the energy

My mum's tummy looks the same as mine, so I blame genetics LOL

I'm sure yours will be fine Beckie if people cannot tell with your first any difference. My stretch marks were already like a motorway network after DC1.

beckie90 · 01/08/2010 17:52

i have stretch marks but not on the tummy just on my bum lol, thats were i put my weight on, but saying that loosing weight doesnt help either, as i went to 11 stone when i was pregnant in 6 days after the birth id just gone bak to 8 and half, but now im like 7 stone ten. i dont think it helps stretch marks.

my mums belly is a little bit bad shes had 2 kids but she put 5 and half on with 1st and 5 with 2nd so that wont help.
but my mum has always been different to me bigger build and everything, im like my dads side.

i hope it doesnt get any worse though.
so is the 2nd baby always bigger than the 1st or does it just depends

teaandcakeplease · 01/08/2010 17:56

My DD was 8lbs and 1oz as the first baby
My DS as mentioned was bigger at 9lbs and 8oz

However I know people who have had smaller babies as their second or even third child. So I wouldn't worry too much as it varies imo.

beckie90 · 01/08/2010 20:28

yea i was 9ib 2 and 2 week early my sis was 8ib and 2 week late, so think that just shows.
ive heard boys are heavier than girls, dont know if thats true.
i have a boy and he was 12 days late and was 6ib 11

I don't think genetics are everything in this as I spent years dreading the effects that pg would have on my tummy as my mothers has so many stretch marks. Vain creature that I am, it was by biggest fear!

As it happened I got none with DS1. DD was bigger (7.14lb) and I had excess waters but still had hardly any stretchmarks.

teaandcakeplease · 02/08/2010 10:20

Ooo very of you CakeandRoses

beckie90 · 02/08/2010 10:27

no i dont think its all to do with genetics either. i just got a few on my bottom but they have faided anyway, but i was bound to get some as im only a small girl, and putting on 4 and half stone in 9 month isnt great lol.
no i dont think its that vain cakeandroses, i was the same 1st time and it still scares me now. i think for some mums its just a big issue

Mine was flat a few weeks after dd1, dd2 was born 4.5 years ago and my tummy is flabby and my bum seems huge. Maybe i need to go to the gym . My mum is 53, had 2 children and has a flat tummy, small bum and no stretch marks .

beckie90 · 02/08/2010 10:38

im sure your bottom is not huge marne lol.
yea i keep thinking same about the gym but it seems everytime i go i have no motivation and last bout 15 mins and then come back out its just soo boring lol, i would rather do and exercise dvd
