Which would you recommend? (Surely we can't be the only ones planning on using disposables?!)

With the Asda baby and toddler event starting again today we were planning on stocking up a bit. We have a few packs of pampers already but wondered which brand people prefer and why?

Thanks in advance.

Found Huggies leaked at newborn stage - poo covered babygros! So switched to pampers and stuck with them. Never had any nappy rash. Agree that green pampers ones can smell funny so use active fit day and green ones at night. Not sure about the new active fit as haven't tried them but think as they get older you need active fit as the green ones tend to leak during the day when they move around.

Loved huggies, the tabs are much nicer and more comfy. I also find that pampers get very wet on the outside and then clothes get damp. For newborn it doesn't matter but with larger sizes I found the super dry rubbed DS thigh so only used them at night and then natural fit in the day. Didn't have leakage problem with huggies either, maybe it depends on the shape of your baby! I'm a childminder and most people do seem to use Pampers, have never improved my opinion of them.

Re: Pampers there was a thing on watchdog about how the active fit have been changed to make them less bulky and have removed the absorbant bit from the back, leading to leakage especially when they lay down! The lady from pampers said she thought they were great and used them (could be that she had to) but she had a boy and the wee has a natural barrier to keep it at the front of the nappy . My friend went from 3 to 8 nappies a day for her 18 month old when she got the new active fit ones.

Lidl's also came out top in a survey done by Mother and Baby too.
