As subject line says im 26 weeks pregnant and this week ive noticed the calf on my right leg is swelling most of the day now, when i wake up in the morning its generally back to normal but by 2/3pm when i walk around at work i can feel the pressure built up down there and by usig fingers to measure around my calf the right one is at least an inch bigger than the left one which i think is staying relatively normal!
along with headaches and nausea every now and then im slightly being a hypocondriact (cannot spell that word!)and worrying about pre eclampsia - anyone else having these symptoms?

Please phone your midwife asap and ask her to check you over, do your BP and take a urine test.
Usually swelling affects both limbs equally so bit strange it is just your right; could indicate some problem such a clot (e.g. DVT)- not to alarm you but you really need to get this checked out. If you can't get hold of your midwife then pop to a hospital A&E to be on the safe side.

I am no expert but I have had preeclampsia 3 times and it is always worth getting checked over by medics just in case as symptoms can progress rapidly. More info on PE symptoms here:

Phone MW immediately. If she is no help phone GP. Failing that go to A&E.

Is your calf hot at all as well? Not that it needs to be - but if you do have a DVT it has to be checked and dealt with as a matter of urgency.

As others have said, DVT is the worry if it's just one leg - you are at increased risk in pregnancy and it's not uncommon.

There is a Thrombosis and Pregnancy factsheet herewhich gives you some more information
