...you get so much more done.

This morning at 39 weeks pregnant and dragging two under three's around, I have been to the doctors, chemists, post office, corner shop and nursery.

I have hung out two loads of washing and have another load in. Unloaded and loaded dishwasher. Wash, dressed and fed two children and myself. Just about to start on the ironing and it is only 10:15am.

Maybe I am far too much of a lazy slattern the rest of the time, but it is nice to have a clean, tidy house, with much less clutter. Now if I can just have another month or two of nesting time, that would be great

I think that is the first time I have seen a 39-weeks-pregnant woman write that she wishes she could be pregnant for a couple more months!

I'm twenty-five weeks and I've had enough.

Babieseverywhere · 19/07/2010 10:32

Apart from the backache and the night wakings, I like being pregnant. Might be moaning if I am still pregnant in three weeks time ;)

Another month or two? Are you SURE?

You are a much better nester than I was. You do constructive nesting. I was just incredibly irritating.

Babieseverywhere · 20/07/2010 09:50

I changed my mind. I was up every 90 minutes last night. Hence overslept this morning, only just got DD to nursery 5 mins ago. Probably missed a very important phone call whilst doing the late nursery run(did send an email to excuse myself)

Nearly got the car crushed in the school car park, as I can't park in a proper bay very narrow for pregnant me to get out of the car and a goods van reversed at speed around my car making me cry I was so soft scared.

DS is crying on the floor as he wanted to go to the library but we have to wait in for phone call, argghh.

And it is raining and STILL hot.

Someone please shoot me

Back to happy nesting, finally caught up with a massive mountain of ironing. Boxed up all the children's too small clothes.

Just a few more drawers and a couple of cupboards to sort out now. Due date tomorrow, wonder when baby will arrive

Well, according to my midwife I'll have a another 7 days at least of nesting.

I predict BE that if you can tidy the spare room just a little, and following this have a cup of tea and put your feet up for a well deserved 5 minute break, then you will go in to labour!

This happened to me with DD, I rushed about, got everything done - I was then ready to rest for a couple or three weeks until my due date and out she popped a little earlier than expected. I'm hoping the same will happen this time :-) Still a way to go at nearly 31 weeks though...

I don't like nesting, there is too much to do and it is all very stressful.

I have also run out of emergency chocolate and I can't go and get more as I am waiting for Mothercare to deliver the damned travel system, and have been waiting all day.

Babieseverywhere · 28/07/2010 17:27

No, my baby is OP, not enough pressure on my cervix to start labour, so very unlikely to see the baby this week. Also can't put feet up, due to OP baby. Sit upright with no crossed legs.

We do have emergency chocolate biscuits so not too bad

You know what - if you want to sit with your feet up - do it! As long as you are not permanently in that position. Enjoy

Babieseverywhere · 28/07/2010 20:58

Really ! Well, I will do, as my feet are a little swollen today (to much nesting)

Thanks Mears.

Well, I'm now awaiting an August baby

i remember nesting fondly.

in fact i cant wait for it to kick in with me in dec, because my house is a pit lol.

Alicetheinvisible · 01/08/2010 08:33

Join the club!

Woke up this morning and thought "Well, this baby will definitely be born in August" Due in 8 days and haven't really had much nesting instinct.

I want to do stuff but have been having work done on the house so everything is in the wrong place and there is no point in scrubbing skirting boards or anything yet as everywhere is dusty. Going to look around the beautiful John Lewis today though

Babieseverywhere · 01/08/2010 08:44

Well, I'm 5 days over with zero signs of a baby. Starting to wonder if this baby will ever make an appearance .

Nesting wise. I am just about to start on today's ironing, when I finish hanging up the load of washing I did this morning (one more in the machine) Kitchen and living clean and tidy. Children up and fed, need to be dressed and chucked into the garden to run around for a bit.

Weather pants here, so think unless I can persuade DH to take us swimming, that I will tackle the living storage and see if I can clear a couple of surfaces of stuff.

misdee, Yep, my house is normal a pit too and it will sink fast enough the moment I am not constantly cleaning after DH and the kids. DH can trash the kitchen making sandwiches !

Alicetheinvisible, You might not get to nesting, I didn't with my first two I was happy to live in squalor lived-in house. But with this one I actually want to iron and I hate ironing with a passion normally...go figure.

It's so exciting waiting for a baby to arrive

Alicetheinvisible · 02/08/2010 10:15

I have scrubbed the shower this morning, does that count? Going to bag up a load of stuff for the charity shop later too.

How is that bump? Any progress? Still nesting? If you run out of jobs, i could find you some

Babieseverywhere · 02/08/2010 13:20

My bump is very very taunt and solid. Baby is moving well.

I can not go into labour for the next two days as DH gave away my first born whilst I went to the bathroom arranged for his mother to look after our 3 year old DD overnight.

First time they have looked after her, in a caravan and an hour's drive away from me

Wow I can't wait to nest. I'm 29 weeks and already thinking fondly of maternity leave. I'm sooooo tired already, wish I could go on leave now! Hope your little one makes an arrival soon, BE - good luck. And I'm so impressed with all your work, I just don't have the energy and I'm nowhere near as far along as you!!
