early pregnancy reassurance

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy. I've not felt particularly positive about it as I have had only one symptom (sore boobs), no others, at all...

Anyway on Wednesday I had the slightest slightest bit of spotting that has continued. Probably most people wouldn't even realise but I know it is still there.

So the spotting together with the lack of symptoms has put me into a bit of a panic.

Can anyone offer any reassurance? Is it possible to have a healthy pregnancy despite no symptoms?

Hi

yes it is - I promise!

Every pregnancy is different and it is very easy to get panicked in the early days.

I was as sick as a dog with my second, but my first I didn't have a SINGLE symptom, the only way I actually knew I was pregnant was pissing on a stick and then the scan!

Just take it easy, get plenty of rest, enjoy the fact you aren't vomiting and feeling faint and wait for the scan to 'prove it to yourself'

The only symptons i had was bleeding gums and felt slightly dizzy at work one day. Wasnt sick once, so it is perfectly fine to have no symptons. If you are worried still i would visit ur gp just to put ur mind at rest.

Thank you for your responses. I actually ended up being referred to my local epu and after many many hours of being poked and prodded (and things being in places I don't care to remember), we had some very good news that there is a baby in there and I saw the heartbeat.

Such a huge relief

Glad you had good news esiuloeiram - was going to say I had spotting early on at 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 9 weeks and 12 weeks sometimes lasting up to 4 days and nearly 21W now so it definitely can be normal. Obs/Gyn Dr said it was because placenta lies low in early days. Good luck for rest of pregnancy x
