Hi, I am currently 31 weeks pregnant. Problem is I am concerned about giving birth naturally due to my size. I am 5 ft and a size 6-8 with size 2 feet!! Unfortunetly my husband isnt petite and seemingly my baby isnt particularly small. I know its difficult to say how you'll get on but at the same time Im wondering would it be safer given my size to discuss the possibility of a Csection. Anyone been in this position?? Mrow

Sadly it's possible to give bith without any probs ! I'm 4ft 11in petite & dh is over 6ft. I went full term and gave birth to our dd who was 9lb 4oz ! LOL..!!! Natural birth without any help. Water birth & only req gas & air. Good luck..

why sadly?

Interesting. I have size one feet (I'm 5' tall) and none of the midwives ever even mentioned it! I asked about it once or twice but was told it was irrelevant. Ds was born by cs due to fetal distress, but dd subsequently exited in the normal fashion without any problems.
Incidentally, where do you get your shoes? I'm constantly on the lookout for nice ones in my size.

hopefully you wont have a problem.

I was waiting for someone to ask about shoes!!! Dickens and Jones on Oxford street do size 1 and 2. Also nine west are usually quite good, or at least can usually help find some smaller sizes!
Strange they never mentioned your size 1 feet when you were pregnant. Looking at what everyone else has written I think I may just enquire about a scan. Its no harm is it? What I dont want to happen if its possible to avoid it, is a long labour that isnt progressing followed by an emergency caesarian! I guess at the end of the day I'll go with whatever is looking safest for the baby and take whatever advice I can get.
