They are useless. Both night-time and day ones. We never had this problem with nappies but I don't want to put him back in nappies at night now he is potty trained during the day. Any suggestions for any better brands of pull-ups or any other tips to stop leakage at night? We always encourage him to go for a wee before bed but he still always seems to do at least one wee in the night which ends up with him in soaking pjs and sheet/bedcovers.

Arre they the right size? Bigger would be more absorbent but too big could have gaps round legs! The tesco own brand pull ups are good. Don't know if they are any better!

Hi there - we have this problem too. I tried everything but the best solution to this problem is still tedious. I bought 2 of those waterproof pad / half sheets (from somewhere expensive like jojo or bloom...). I make his bed up with a fitted sheet, then the waterproof pad, then another fitted sheet. I also have a second pillow and cover ready to go. If there is an accident in the night I strip the first layer off (can now do this in the dark with one hand!) and he can go back to his own bed quickly.
Other thing to try is take the potty to his room when you go up to bed, and work some magic... this does not always work as you end up having to hold child with one arm....
But the killer wee that causes the most probs is the wake up wee. I wake DS at 5.30 / 6ish for his wake up wee, then bring him into the big bed with us till wake up time. Not ideal - but I am up anyway with DS2 (3 months).

We had this and ended up going back to nappies. DS (3.4) is okay with it. It was a real pain

yes Tesco pull ups are good, I have tried every brand but I think that 2.5yr old boys who drink a pint of water in the bath just have lots of wee! :-)

Thanks all.
Now that you say that pedalmonster about the wake-up wee I think this could be the problem - he has been waking at 5.50 most mornings soaking, and i wasn't sure whether he had done the wee earlier in tbe night but not woken, or whether he had just done it - might try (argghghhhh!) getting him up to go for a wee at 5.30 as you suggest! Will also try to get hold of tesco own-brand pull-ups although I know our nearest tesco (quite small) does not have them.

yep Huggies are useless.

Boots, Morrisons, Tesco all seem t be most reliable.
