Hi

Started training DD beginning of Jan. She is 2.6. She is doing really well, still not quite there but will have some dry days and the occasional accident (mostly if mummy is not on top of things!)

Trouble is we are still putting her in nappy for bedtime which she was ok with and seemed to understand the difference. Now though she wakes up in night and does a wee and then insists on you changing her nappy. Presumambly because she knows wet pants aren't nice so doesn't want wet nappy either.

Her nappies are still wet at night so don't know if she is ready to go 'nappyless' just yet. Anyone else had this experience and if so how did you handle it?

Don't want to hold her back if she is ready but I'm 32 weeks pregnant and sooooo tired from having to get up in middle of night...maybe she is getting me ready for the arrival of number 2!

I am in almost similar situation, I get the shout she wants a wee and does it in nappy but she doesn't want changing and falls straight back asleep so the wee is obviously waking dd to some extent.

I'm going to wait a little longer until she is fully waking and then just trying it for a few nights and seeing how it goes. I have absolutely nothing to base this on but I figure unless we try I'll never know.

hi, my dd is 2.7 and dry in the day but still in nappies at night. for the past month she has started crying in the night for a wee and ive found if i go quickly and get her to the toilet she wees in the toilet and i put the dry napy back on, she then lasts till the morning.#
its a pain getting up every night for a toilet trip and the hv advised i put a potty in her room but she wont use a potty and wouldnt manage all that half asleep.
the hv told me to go with it as its a half way step to dry nights.
hth

crikey that didn't make much sense I meant try going nappyless for a few nights and see what happens.
