Rule out UTI in first instance before you try any other strategy

thank you i didnt think of that.could that really be a cause?do i just go to gp for that?

I think that if a previously reliably dry DC suddenly starts wetting an UTI should be ruled out

My DD had one and the only symptom was wetting

They will test a sample of her wee at the surgery and might also send it off for a more detailed analysis

i went to the doctors today.he has sent off a urine sample but said it looked clear.he gave me some antibiotics for her but i cant get to to take the medicene.i have tried mixing it in two different juices but it smells of aniseed and i assume taste so she wont drink it.

she doesnt have a uti as the sample came back normal.the past couple of nights i have been waking her up to do a wee when i go to bed and it has worked so far.its a bit difficult getting her up cause i cant lift her as my arm is in a cast so i just have to gently wake her.which i feel a bit bad waking her up but its better than having her wet the bed.i will carry on and hope for the best.

You shouldn't have to carry her to the loo at night, she should be fully awake and walk there so that she is aware of what she's doing. But just because she has been trained during the day, doesn't automatically mean she should be dry at night too.

It sounds like a battle of wills during the day, you ask her to go to the loo, she refuses, then she wets. Would she respond to allocated toilet times, e.g. after meals, mid morning and afternoon etc rather than waiting until she needs to before you nag her and she refuses. I think she reacts to the constant asking by digging in her heels. If you don't ask but state that she is going to the toilet now just after lunch, say, before she can go to play, she might relent, rather than have to interrupt when she's engrossed in a game. You can praise her successes instead of getting cross over the wet pants.

i know that being trained in the day doesnt mean she should be dry at night but the point is for about 6 months previously she has been dry at night.i do praise her successes by giving her stickers when she stays dry inbetween toilet trips.i will try stating she is going to the toilet at certain times rather than asking.thank you.
