My DD is nearly 3.5 and has never been totally dry but lots more accidents over last 4-5 months. Tried all usual rewards, regular reminding etc. Been to HV and GP, urine tests clear. Kidney scan due to various family oddities suggests slightly immature bladder muscles but not v conclusive. Regularly wetting (2-3 times a day) at nursery(pre school state) and childminder. In all other respects she is happy and developing v normally. What to do next - nappies? further tests? Also increasingly worried as nursery and childminder v understanding so far but how much longer can we expect them to keep on changing her?

I completely understand how you feel - my DS is 3.6. He stays dry when we're out and when he's at nursery but... as soon as he's home he wets himself all the time.

I really think in his case it seems to be pure laziness. He thinks when he's home that mum is his personal slave and should do EVERYTHING for him - including clean up his wee 'cos he can't be bothered to walk to the loo!!

More frustrating because DD (now 5) was clean and dry by 20 months! I used to congratulate myself for this acheivment - now realise that it had nothing whatsoever to do with whatever it was I thought I had done. It's all down to them.

Hopefully someone wise will come along with a solution. Like you, I feel I've tried everything to cure the problem (even bribary)

Yes - DD has an older brother who potty trained fine - it seems mostly down to them! DD today did a wee in the potty before we left the house, another one when we got to nursery and then had two accidents in the space of 2 and a half hours whilst she was there - she seems so happy and normal in other respects I still worry that there is something medical wrong - am I just looking for excuses????

I'm hoping that it comes to a natural end. Sooner rather than later! But, I really think that it's down to them, when they're ready it will happen.
