Any advice for night-time potty training?

My DS is 3.7 and has been toilet trained for over a year now during the day time with no problems. How can I start getting him to be dry at night? He has pull ups at night and they are always soaked in the morning.

alot of people told me not to but i started by taking my ds (who has special needs) to the toilet when i went to bed. I would also take him early hours of the morning at first. I used to leave the lights off so that he didnt wake up fully. It didnt always work and sometimes I was up a couple of times a night changing his bed but after a few months I stopped doing this and he started going on his own when he realised if he didnt he would end up with a wet bed

he's probably not ready yet. Night time training is hormone related and can't really be "taught".

Just wait and he'll do it himself.

Have a loom a the "through the night" section on www.thenappyline.co.uk It works well!

My 3.5 yr old DS1 told me about 3 months after being toilet trained that he didn't want to wear nappies at night any more. This was after a few weeks of having dry nappies in the morning, and if he did need a wee in the night him waking up and shouting for us. As per FAQinglovely above, it's a physiological thing, if his body isn't ready then no good forcing it.

My DS1 now usually goes through the night without needing a wee, but if he does need one he will come and find me to take him to the loo.
