How to get past sensory sensitivity when potty training

Hi
my 3yo DD (she was 3 in November) I have made numerous attempts to potty train without success. Feeling disappointed in myself as she’s so clever I was sure she would get it but been trying on and off since summer.
i think she may be sensory sensitive? She will happily sit on potty/toilet, but when she needs to go she will do a dribble, jump up and say she’s done it. She is SO proud of herself when she does a dribble so that’s met with lots of praise! It’s as if she is scared to fully release and no amount of distraction helps. When she’s bursting she won’t even sit on the potty - just gets herself in to a state. Any wee/poo accidents are accompanied by meltdowns despite me comforting her and keeping calm etc. I just don’t know how to get past this with her as I know accidents are part of training but I’m at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated.

Try putting a piece of colour changing paper in (or even just coloured tissue paper) and then asking her to keep pushing out wee to change the colour. She might find that wording easier than letting it out.
