2.5 year old twins

Hello! We started potty training yesterday with my 2.5 year old twins. We have sticker charts, chocolate buttons and we are very positive however they only sit on the potty or toilet for a little bit and haven't weed or pooed on there yet. They decide to wee on the floor. We do take them to the potty after an accident but it doesn't seem to get them to go to the potty before an accident.
Is there anything we can do or do they seem like they're not ready?
I was thinking they were ready as they would pull at their nappies and tell us if they weed or pooed. They also can stay dry for a couple of hours at a time so I'm not sure whether I just need to be more patient or to try again another time.

Read Oh Crap potty training book and follow it to the letter. Block out other confusing advice, only follow one method.

We had several shorted attempts with DTs. Finally trained them the week after their third birthday, took two days. Save yourself the stress and try again in a few months.

Another vote for 'oh crap' book/method

We did our twins together at 2y 4m and boy twin got it quickly but girl twin didn't so still in nappies a few months later. Give it at least a few days before giving up. It might be going badly and then it just clicks! They are definitely old enough to be able to do it depending on the child

Thank you!
Funnily enough after I posted this my twin 1 asked for the potty and had a big wee! Still working on twin 2 but that made me feel a lot better about it!!

Also currently using the Oh Crap method here day 2. It’s exhausting watching them like a hawk the first few days (I don’t envy you at all having to do two!). Mine is the same age as yours and it is clicking. I’d keep persevering for now! Good luck. Also, seems obvious but it’s quicker to run the potty over to them than them over to the potty as soon as they start to wee. I carry mine around the house or garden to whatever room we are in.

We had 5 potties for the first few days! Just to have one to hand at all times!

I potty trained my twins not so long ago - I did one at a time though 😅 mine didn't really respond to chocolate bribes so it was just positive reinforcement (constantly!) and didn't leave the house for a week!

I also potty trained my twins one at a time (one was ready at 2.5 the other 2.10). If it doesn't work just give it a few more weeks and try again don't cause stress for anyone because it'll link the situation to stress. For what it's worth I have 3 dc and two didn't like the potty but took to the toilet straight away, so that may be an option.
