i didn't really know where to post this but am having problems with my little boy who is 2 and 3
months. Every morning he wakes up he's absolutely soaked from bottom up to his neck in wee. i check on him when i wake up and he's dry so i can only assume it's because his wily sticks up when he's waking up and the wee is shooting upwards.

I've tried all types of nappies and bigger sizes etc and nothing seems to help. constantly changing sheets and am soaked myself when i pick him up.

Any advice? he's not wet for long so it's not harming him but it's just a pain

I found that the top of the nappy rolled back slightly when DS slept on his front so we used pull up pants over the top of the nappy which held it in place, the pull up didn’t need changing daily as it just held the nappy in place and didn’t get wet.

Err you do realise what “morning glory” is?

Is there a big gap between you both waking up? Can you wake him and sit him on a potty right away? He's old enough for potty training anyway...

I'd get him up when you wake up if he's still dry at that point.

Also make sure he's 'tucked in' and the nappy fits tightly when you put him to bed.

Sounds like time to start potty training to me! If he's dry until he's waking overnight then he's biologically ready and it will save you a load of washing!

we are trying with the potty as much as possible but he's not really getting it yet. he will sit on it for 5 minutes then get up and pee on the floor..we are trying though

Still might be worth giving it a try as he's clearly having a great big wee just after waking up and that can flood a nappy.

i think he might find it difficult on the potty with his willy facing the wrong direction 🫣

Op pull up pants instead of a nappy might catch catch more flooding.....mum to two boys who used to have the same problem 😁

Use a nappy 'wrap' (sold to cover washable nappies) over the disposable.

We had a similar problem around 2 years. Tried so many different nappies/sizes/boosters.
Only thing that worked was massively cutting down fluid intake after 5pm. (Increased it earlier in the day.)

I never had a single bed wetting incident with either of mine because after they went to bed I lifted them out of bed at approximately 11.30pm to sit on the toilet for a wee.

They often would be half asleep but it worked a treat.

I worked out that 11.30 pm was the best time for optimum peeing.

he's not a bed wetter - he's not potty trained. his nappy is leaking

Hi

what nappies do you use? We tried so many different ones but found pampers were/ are the best.

also, you said there is about an hour gap when you and your little one wakes up. If you did wake them to go to the toilet, would they go back to sleep?

good luck x

Make sure you point it down when you put his last nappy on. Never had any issues and 8x ds's here!!
