His BM are not constipated but very large sausage shape. We try and give a high fibre diet and lots of water.

He says he can't feel them or tell when it's time to go. However when prompted he does go in loo with no assistance.

Help! How do I treat this? It's starting to happen at school.

I haven't got experience but ive seen the ERIC website recommended often in MN.

I'd also take him to see his GP to rule out a physical cause. Not feeling the urge to poo seems unusual Flowers

How often does he go? It could be he’s been constipated and as a result his bowel has stretched so it holds on to more. This happened with ds1 as a toddler. He needed movicol for a couple of years to help.
If this has been going on for a while it’s worth a trip to the GP.

You need to take him to the GP, definitely. They can first help rule out any physical causes and then help with advice going forward.

Spoke to the Dr. It's not physical and it's more that he's holding it in due to FOMO. We've tried all kind of reward charts, bribing. He's suggested movical to help things moving but may need to more accidents

It would be unusual for a 6 yo to poo their pants due to FOMO. Usually by then they have enough social awareness to know that they should be toilet trained, even if they are not.

Does he struggle with social cues normally?
