Should I start potty training?

My toddler turned 2 this month & the last 3 nights she's been dry (which is totally unusual for her). She's shown interest in the potty but I've not pushed it unless she's asked. Do the dry nights mean I should start to be more encouraging of the potty?! TIA x

Not necessarily.
I hung on until mine could tell me when she was having a wee or poo in her nappy and then just gave it a go. She understood what the potty/toilet was for and we could both talk about it.
Wees were no problem, poos she would wait until a nappy went on at nap or bedtime - took a couple of weeks of chatting about it and encouragement (and then lots of stories sat on the toilet) to sort it out.
She still has a nappy on overnight but I’m not sure she’s actually weeing in her sleep, sometimes she just wakes up early and I think that’s when she does it.
Not really worried about losing the overnight pull up for now.

Forgot to say, she was about 2 and a half when we went for it.

I think it's worth going for it if you have the time and look for progress not perfection straight away. We used Oh Crap Potty Training and looking for progress saved us. We have seen resistance and bad days of lots of wee on the floor but now after just 1 week she is really progressing. She was dry most nights but as she's still in a cot we aren't night training yet.
