Dry at night a month but now wet

DS was 3 in December and potty trained a month ago. He's been dry day and night since except for the last 3 nights he has wet the bed.

Nothing has changed in terms of night time routine or fluid intake.

What do I do. Back to nappies at night or persevere?

He's not waking at night when it happens either.

Any advice most welcome!

Pushing boundaries? Both mine (just turned 2 and 3.5) are mostly dry during the night but my 2yo will wake up and tell me he's peeing in his nappy. His big sister is similar, I think she wakes and is nice and warm in bed and doesn't want to get up into the cold and go away downstairs for a pee. Just lots of positive reinforcement when they are dry I think. I didn't realise how much of two steps forward one step back process it would be at night time.

Sometimes as well if they have a big drink with dinner and then refuse to do a last pee before bed then obv they'll have a wet nappy. I'm not sure I agree with restricting fluids as such, but not giving them a full water bottle to chug 30 mins before bed seems sensible enough.

Oh and I still have them both in nappies at night. Usually get a good few nights out of one pull up so it's not costing much. We tried no nappies about a month ago and all was fine until it wasn't and I realised nappies wasn't so bad after all!

Thanks so much for this. Pushing boundaries and laziness sounds about right....

He actually had more to drink last night than usual but was dry this morning.

He had a vomiting bug a couple of weeks ago and I put a nappy on him as he was so weak and incase it started the other end but he was fine, didn't use the nappy at all until the following morning he got up and used the loo as normal but before I got him dressed he just peed in it just because he could!

DD was dry at night since potty trained at the same age and has never had an accident at night so this is new territory for me!

My son's ability to hold his pee astounds me. He can breastfeed to sleep, have another feed in the night, then one when he wakes up and saunter casually to the potty when he feels like it. Meanwhile I have a last pee before bed, sometimes one in the night and am lying there feeding him first thing absolutely bursting for a pee! I don't know how he does it. He's been pretty much dry at night since we potty trained at 21months. The wet nappies have been very recent and I'm certain he's testing me by doing it, cheeky little monkey.

Another wet night! Well morning!

He sleeps with me and I checked throughout the night and it happened around 6am. He didn't wake up. When I woke him up he was very upset that he was wet and pulled at his pyjamas to get them off so I do think he is doing it in his sleep now.

It's just so odd....

Dry last night!

If anyone has any similar experience and has got through this please let me know

In a way I think he should be back to nappies but it feels like a step back after being reliably dry for a month....
