Can I go back to nappies after 6 months

Exactly that.

I'm ashamed to admit I think I started her to soon. She was 2 in summer and it was all easy with dresses and no knickers in the garden. All winter it's been a nightmare, constant accidents, little ones and big ones.

Sometimes we can have a dry day but they are rare.

She often protests when I ask her to try for a wee and sometimes I think the accidents come with no warning for her.

She's now 2.5, should we go back to nappies after over 6 months in knickers? I have no idea what to do!

Honestly I'd normally say no but 6 months and dry days are still an anomaly I would absolutely go back to nappies. She already sounds like she is getting distressed by it and that's going to be a harder problem to resolve if you preserve than starting all over again in the summer after a few months break.

Go back to nappies. Remove the stress from the situation. Try again in a few months. Both of my DC (boys) were around 3 when they trained and it was a breeze. When you do try again though I wouldn’t go for the no knickers approach - put her in knickers from day 1 so she learns how it feels and also the routine of needing to pull her knickers down before sitting on the potty/toilet.
