Daughter has just turned 3 and started potty training about 6 months ago. 3 months ago her little sister arrived on the scene and she regressed massively, it was a shit show, literally. Since then she's managing poos a lot better, but still hasn't gone a day without a wee accident.

We've always followed the advice of not making a big thing of accidents, just getting her changed and cleaning up. But I'm worried this has rubbed off on her as she's just not bothered at all. She will point blank refuse to go on the toilet or potty if we ask her to, then when she inevitably does an accident she just says I've done an accident, clean it up (!!!) And isn't bothered at all. If we leave her to it, especially in the afternoon, she will have an accident with the same result. She goes to forest school three times a week with a similar story, generally at least one accident in the afternoon.

I've really thought about going back to nappies but I'm a bit loathe to, it feels like such a backwards step. But I just don't know how much longer we can keep on cleaning up wee and taking endless spare outfits everywhere too.

We've tried shamelessly bribing to get her onto the toilet with limited success...

Get her to clean up after herself. Obviously she won't be that effectual but if going to the toilet is an easier option than cleaning then she may take it.

When you're with her pay attention to when she drinks and get her to go to the toilet 30 mins - 1h after a decent drink.
Don't give up. Resist the urge to go back to nappies.
I'm sure others will come along soon with other ideas.

Have you tried washable training pants? They stop accidents but DD will realise she is wet compared to nappies.

It sounds like you're both quite stressed about this and maybe a reset would be the best option for a couple of months?
