3 year old regressed with toilet training

My middle child is 3 and has in the last 2 weeks completely regressed with toilet training. She will pee herself pretty much every time now and I don't know why, she's been using the toilet and potty confidently for about a year now and never had issues with it.
She's also constantly saying she's cold, which I don't know if that's just an attention thing or if she actually is.

I've already booked a doctors appointment, just thought I'd ask here if anyone has any ideas on why this happened.

I don't think it's related to her having a baby sibling as baby is 6 months now and the issue only just started.
She doesn't want to go back in nappies, but I'm having to change her clothes multiple times a day at the moment. Even if I ask her if she needs a wee and she says yes she'll pee herself before we go to the toilet, or sometimes she says no and pees herself.

Is this normal? My first wasn't toilet trained until 3.5 so I'm not really sure if this is just a normal thing or not.

Definitely see what the doctor says as could be an infection. Even so you'd think she'd have a bit more control after a year out of nappies. Not sure really, sorry.

It's normal to have regressions. They can be associated with 'busy little girl' syndrome - too caught up in play or interactions to stop and go to the loo. They simply find it hard to stop what they're doing and duck out for a loo break.

However -
Is your house cold? Is the toilet seat cold? Could it be that she gets chilled when she pulls down her warm tights or leggings or whatever she wears, and sits on the loo?

Also, is she peeing more frequently? Any weight loss or failure to gain weight along her normal trajectory? Any hint of yeast infections?

I wouldn't discount the baby as a source of the regression.

Maybe try doing some 1:1 time especially for you and DD.

I would also do some practicing of running to the loo when she feels she needs to, with a narrative spoken aloud. "I need to pee! I'm hurrying to the loo! I'm going to get there in time! I'm going to keep my knickers dry!"

Offer a bribe every time for successful potting, and a reward every week for a week of successfully keeping underwear and clothes dry.

It could be the baby. This happened with my DD at 3 too but she articulated it very literally - "now you need to change me, not Baby" - so I was able to address it quite quickly
