Day 1 potty training DD who is almost 2y 10m. Four accidents and one half successful wee. Exhausting 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Do we keep trying and face another few days couped up inside or write it off for a month?

Really do need it sorted as she's moving to preschool after Christmas and I'm expecting DC2.

Is this normal for day 1?

Watching this thread with interest, my toddler is the same age and we haven't had the guts to start training. Also due no 2 in Jan who's going to be in cloth nappies so reeeeaaally need toddler to be trained! People say puppy pads are good to start with...? The oh crap book seemed to suggest we'd left it too late :/

have read the ohcrap method but to be honest hadn't yet thought past this initial stage

Have you read the whole book not just a quick summary because she’s very adamant it’s about progress not perfection. The first stage is going from having no clue they peed/pooped to just being aware they’ve gone, which it sounds like your DD has nailed on day 1 so she’s doing really well!
