Would you take nappies on holiday?

Hi everyone, going away with DD on our first holiday on Friday, very much looking forward to going away. She has been potty trained for just over 6 months but it seems she's going through a bit of a regression stage and not wanting to go potty. Yesterday she had 6 accidents before 3 o clock and in the end I just put a nappy on her before bed. I am not sure what to do when we are away as we don't have access to a washing machine in the hotel, we are going for 10 days as well so if DD is going to have accidents that's a lot of outfits i'm going to have to take. My current thoughts are to put nappies on her whilst we are away and have a break. At least then, we can enjoy the holiday. Does anyone have any advice? x

Ideally of course, you wouldn’t go back and forth between pants and nappies But I would try taking nappies and pants. And give her the option. Travel days put nappies on but I would still take her to the loo as you would when she’s wearing pants. The stress of change and travel etc could enhance the regression.
I’ve taken toilet trained charges on holiday and resorted to pants and nappy combination and it’s not undone the loo habits at home when we get back.

I would probably take nappies, we took our nearly potty trained 3 and a half year old DS away a few weeks ago and I didn't take nappies (apart from the travel day) due to the fear of undoing all of our hard work and we ended up buying some out there as he kept having accidents and we couldn't wash the clothes. I would probably just buy cheap ones as we found ourself going through a fair few each day. Have a great time! x

I'd take pullup nappies as you can pull them up and down for the toilet.

Take nappies with you and start again when you get back. On our hols, we found that as we were in a hot country DS was going much more often to the loo due to more drinks being consumed, and then not making it in time etc and it was just easier to nappy him up.

We found the same, and switching between swim nappies I found myself changing half full nappies.

I think she is probably aware there are changes and the current wetting herself is in response to not quite understanding or feeling in control of things ie holiday/travel/sleeping elsewhere.

Id take nappies if that makes you feel more comfortable but alongside that have some chats about the holiday, look at pictures together, talk about what holidays are like.

pull ups - not nappies!

use them as underwear, and continue potty training

How old is she?

Just take pull ups and swim pullups. Can always start again when you come back.

Is she well in herself? If she's weeing herself for the first time in 6m could she have a water infection?

Depends on her age.

If she’s 3 or under, put her in pull-ups and call them something like “special travel pants”.

If she’s 4+ I’d take some changes of clothes and some disposable mats for chairs/seats and bed.

If the issue is at night, however, I’d go
with pull-ups whatever her age.
