Pooping at night

I've got 2yo (33 months) DD who is currently doing really well with potty training - using knickers and very rarely has an accident. Still using nappies at night. However, she absolutely refuses to poop in the toilet or in her potty. Freaks out, cries and just refuses. She's been going at night for a while, so we put her on the toilet and ask her if she needs to poop before getting into bed but she always says no. As soon as we go out of the room, she poops. How do we break this cycle? We tried no nappy once but she still started to poop in bed (we sprinted up there to stop an accident!) Is this just something we just try a bit later on? And what can we use in the meantime instead of nappies? Any recommendations for reusable ones? Ones that fit a nearly 3 year old? I'm on mat leave so can't afford to pay ridiculous prices to keep trying them out. I can't bear to keep paying out for disposables just to use two up every night. Help!

I should add I've seen the Bambino ones at Tesco, anyone like these?

Have her sit on the potty with a nappy on and poop, then when that is routine cut a hole in the nappy, then make it bigger and bigger until it's gone.

Ooh okay, sounds strange haha but I'm willing to give it a go!

Good luck, it's the advice we first got from the continence nurse.
