Poop Accidents

My four year old has always suffered when it comes to the number two. He had a painful experience once when constipated and from then he began to hold it in.
The doctors have played with a dose of movicol for the last two years but it's either running out of him when he trumps or it's huge and solid when we have a day off from the powder.

Has anyone else has this happen and got any suggestions?

He has a great varied diet, he drinks lots, he's really active. He knows how to use the toilet and does use it 90% of the time but at the moment, we are changing dirty pants about three times a day. (It isn't a full poo accident just a thick 'skid')

I'm so sorry for the TMI moments but I really need some help.

Hi, I had the same issues with my DD. How much movicol is he having a day?

I had the same with DD from 3 to 4. After about a year, it just all stopped and she's been great since. Still needs the odd movical but that's her tummy, it's never been great.

He has one sachet a day and sometimes two if he hasn't been for a few days
