2yo refuses to poo!

My daughter will be 3 in January. We started potty training in March which went great with a few weeks off weeing. The first and ONLY time she pood on the potty she got so excited that she jumped up before she was finished because she “wanted to see it” and the poo got stuck in her bum. This upset her so much that she has held her poo in ever since. She takes 1 sachet of movicol per day and every few days I have to hold her down between my legs to get her to go. This really upsets her but once she starts to go she’s absolutely fine. She doesn’t complain of any pain when passing and her poos are soft but quite formed (and big!). She’s now also extremely particular with her weeing habits, she will only wee on her potty at home and insists on wearing a nappy anywhere else. I’ve tried taking her potty to nursery which didn’t help, I’ve also tried rewards, sticker charts but it’s so hard to stay positive. I know I’m creating a viscous circle having to hold her down to poo but I’m terrified of her becoming impacted! Any advice greatly appreciated

That's a very difficult one. Would she pop without beefing held down if you offered her a nappy to poo in?

@JiltedJohnsJulie no unfortunately not, I try to talk to her about it when she doesn’t need to go so she’s a bit more relaxed and she says she only wants to go in mummy’s legs. But when it’s clear that she needs to go (she’ll jump around and is quite uncomfortable), she’ll try to avoid me and gets very upset when I pick her up to do it. I know it sounds awful but the minute she begins to poo she is so calm again and chats away to me while she’s going. I’m very torn because I think I should take the pressure off her completely and see how she goes but on the other hand I’m really worried that she won’t go at all and will become impacted x

Don’t buy any more nappies, if you’ve not got them she can’t wear them.
