My LO has just started taking himself off to the potty to wee so I'm thinking further ahead.
We spend quite a lot of time walking in the woods. I'll ask him if he needs to go before we leave the house but what do I do if he needs to go while out?
Take a travel potty?

Thanks

If he's a boy he can 'water the plants' in the woods

We have a potty flask thing which we take everywhere and also a travel potty in the boot. My son hates anything new potty wise and getting him used to new weeing experiences is difficult. I do wish he'd wild wee x

Ds wouldn't wild wee for sometime so we took a travel potty with us. You can also use a old drink bottle and stick penis in.

My DD always refused to go in the bushes. You just need to plan ahead a bit - loo before you leave - loo when you get there if there is a public toilet and then the expectation is that he holds it until you get back to a toilet (assuming you're not rambling for 4 hours!) . You'll need to reduce time outdoors to avoid accidents to an hour or two tops as much as you can. I don't agree in taking portable potties as it just teaches kids they can wee and poo wherever and whenever they feel like

Thank you for your responses. I did wonder about wild wees but you never know who would be offended etc

We are only 5 mins from our woods so hopefully we could get back in time or if we do have an accident, it would only be minutes before we could clean up
