Hey everyone,
I hope you are all staying safe and well.
My 2 and a half yo son will use his potty for wees but he'll only use it when I'm in the room and prompt him to use it otherwise he will just go on the carpet Confused he's been in the pull up pant style nappies for about a year now and I have bought him some 'big boys pants but I'm just struggling at the moment so just wanted some help and advice on what I could try. Thank you in advance Smile

We used the "oh crap" book/method and it worked well. Consistentcy and just going for it are key. Good luck

Hi, I think success with potty training your kid depends on the level of communication that you've developed with him up to this stage. One important tip that can help in the long run is to try to understand your child's rhythm as to when he needs to go. Once you can pick up on that, then you can quickly lead him to the potty chair every time you pick up the signals. There are definitely going to be some accidents but that's okay, just make sure you still sit him on the potty chair afterwards, even if he's already done it on the floor or something. This helps to reinforce the purpose of the potty chair or toilet to the kid, and he'll probably start getting it after a few cycles. If you still need help after trying all the suggestions here, you can check out Sarah's Potty Training Secrets, if you don't mind paying for a solution that works. She seems to have had a ton of successes, going by the testimonies on her page. You can check it out here bit.ly/2IoJwS1 Best of Luck!
