Night time - please help

My 2 year old is completely clean and dry during the day. We decided to just wait with night times as I know they generally wake up dry in their own time.

The problem is now that she is pulling her nappy off, and either not settling for sleep or wetting the bed and waking. This has led me to think maybe we do need to ‘train’ her or do something other than just put a nappy on at night.

Would really appreciate any ideas on this, I’m at a complete loss on what to do. Thanks!

You cant train for night time as they are asleep. Maybe a reward chart for keeping the nappy on? Big girl pull up nappies? If she was waking dry you could take them off but it sounds like she is wetting the bed when she takes the nappy off

@dementedpixie exactly yes she is wetting the bed which is the problem. Have looked at dry night sheets but she would most likely end up throwing that out of the bed too. So frustrating - can’t tell if it’s part of a bigger ploy to avoid bedtime (have posted previously about how unsettled she’s been) or a genuine dislike of her nappy.

You could put her in a sleep suit with the zip at the back so she can't reach her nappy

Tricky one that. Perhaps put down a DryNites bed mat underneath her top sheet to absorb any wee as a starting point.

Perhaps switch to Pull-Up style nappies as I know my DD found the tabs uncomfortable on her old night nappies.

Put her in a popper vest that she can’t get off?

Lift her out of bed when you go up. Lee it dark and put her on the loo and say wee wee.

They usually do this without waking.

Leave it dark

Can you put her on the potty when you're going to bed? Just to make sure her bladders empty?
Sorry don't have any good suggestions
