Drynights alternatives?

Hi all,

Our daughter is 4 and still isn’t dry at night. We are using Drynight pull ups however they are so expensive and we are often going through two a night as the capacity isn’t great. Can anyone recommend anything else? We are limiting drinks before bedtime and making her go before the pull up goes on but it doesn’t seem to help.. not keen on lifting.

Thanks x

Pampers pants are much better, and you can get them in a size 7 (my 7 year old with asd wears them)

@YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake
Thanks for your reply, our younger daughter uses them whilst she is being potty trained and we find them rubbish at staying together. Thanks for your suggestion.

Aldi do pull up nappies in size 7. They are £3 something a pack of 18.

Much cheaper and in my experience far more absorbent

@SkaLaLand Oh really, yeh I didn’t think of them. They could be a good suggestion actually my sister uses the nappies for her son and she swears by them.

I can recommend cloth training pants as they are less nappy like. You can actually buy them in Sainsburys now.

If you want to continue with disposables, limiting drinks can actually make leaking worse as the urine is more concentrated. The more dilute the urine, the more a disposable will actually hold. This is because they use SAP (super absorbent polymer) which turns the liquid into a gel. When urine is more concentrated it has a higher salt content per ml, and SAP isn’t as good at holding salt water.

There are also a couple of DryNites alternatives which don’t seem to be available in supermarkets but can be bought online in the UK

Also recommend Aldi - DS was in pull-ups at night until age 7 and they worked well.

Try to look for youth nappies, pull-ups are expensive and absorb less than a regular nappy, when they don't leak.
