My DD 3.3 was potty trained about a year ago. All fine, went well etc. For the last couple of months though it's really gone backwards and I'm struggling with what to do. She can wet her knickers 3/4 times a day on a bad day. Sometimes totally dry. It's usually just a little bit, but it's driving me mad.

I ask her regularly if she needs to go and unless she's desperate it's a no, I try not to stick her on the loo every hour as I feel she needs to feel a full bladder and know she needs to go herself, but she just won't say she needs to go until she's bursting and then the accident happens.

What should I do? Go back to putting her on the loo every hour? Bring a potty back downstairs? Something I haven't thought of?

Water infection?

No I'm sure it's behaviour, it's happened on and off since she was potty trained for a month or so at a time each time. It's just like she doesn't recognise that she needs a wee until it's almost coming out. I can't work out how to get through to her that she needs to go before then though. She's smart as you like with everything else but she doesn't think it's a big deal that she sets her knickers.

My daughter did this, we went back to putting her on the toilet regularly (although not as frequently as every hour I dont think) and rewarding for day without accidents. She was dry again within a week or so and has been fine since.
I wonder if sometimes there is a change and they almost forget how to be toilet trained and just need to be "reset"
