Potty training regression?

We started potty training with my 2 1/2 year old DD a bit over 2 months ago. The first week was really tricky, but then it seemed to really click and since then she's been great - rarely any accidents at home. She was still having a few more accidents at nursery, but apparently this is quite common as they are busy and don't want to miss out.

But the last 10 days or so we have taken backwards step with wees. She says she needs to go and then immediately starts dancing around as if she is desperate. 2-3 times per day by the time she gets to the loo she has already done a few drops in her pants, but then obviously managed to stop it. So far I have not made a big deal out of it, just calmly said "next time let us know a bit quicker and we can get you to the loo before you do any in your pants.". When she does let us know in time I am making a really big fuss with lots of praise. Has any one else had this? Is it just a phase that will past, or should we try and address it some how?

There haven't been any big changes recently that I can think of and she is fine in herself. It feels more like she can't be as bothered now the novelty has worn off.

Exactly as you say, novelty has worn off.

I guess it is that. But what do I do about it? Or do I just try and be consistent and wait it out?
