When to ditch the night time nappy?

How many consecutive dry nights did before we ditch night time nappies. I have not been keeping a careful record because we have recently been on holiday and we are staying in a hotel this weekend so we could not ditch the nappies yet but DD is desperate for them to go.

After a week but in your case probably from Tuesday to allow a normal couple of nights at home first.

Bumping/watching with interest. DS has been 'dry' at night since beginning potty training (almost 3 months) however there have been 3 random occasions over the 3 months where he has woken up with a wet nappy.

We haven't done any specific night time training, he was just dry, so apprehensive to remove them in case there is the odd accident or he regresses...

How old is he To be?
If he is not bothered by them there's no reason to stop the night time nappies. But having an average of one wet bed a month is very good so i'd be trying him without.

He's 2 years 9 months. He's not yet said he doesn't want them, but time to take the plunge I think! Thank you for your advice @CaptainKirkssparetupee

Good luck.
Don't throw them away just yet as you'll need them if there is some regression.

Bumping for more advice on my situation.

None. If DS had a night nappy on he’d use it. One really hot night this summer at bedtime he said he wanted his nappy off (I’d sown the seed a few weeks before that if he wanted to use the potty at night instead of a nappy he could) so went to bed without a nappy and went straight through the night and took himself to the loo in the morning. He still has to go to sleep naked because if he has PJs on he thinks it’s a nappy (it’s been months now!) but that’s fine by me.

anotherangel2 · 26/09/2018 08:42

Thanks. DD wore PJs for the first time in months last night. I don’t think when she does wee that she is aware of it because she has woke durring the night on a couple of occasions after we just started potty training asking for the potty.

DS1 who’s now 7 became dry last year and after a week of dry nappies we took them away (Although he wet the bed last night!)
DS2 is 5 and still has a night nappy and is showing no signs of dryness yet Blush
